Part 16 - The Meetup

Colby's POV

"Hey," I say walking into Sams' room seeing him and Kat on his bed talking
"Hey, what do you want?" He says slightly shifting to face towards me
"I made plans with Ash tomorrow at 7," I say leaning on the door frame
"Finally!" Sam said
"I thought she would never forgive you!" Kat slightly chuckled.
"I know," I said, "Do you guys want Sushi?" I say leaning back into the door
" We already ate, but I think Corey would like some," Sam said shooing me out. (I don't think I spelled that right)
"Ok, I'll ask him," I said backing away from the door then walking down the stairs to see Corey and Aaron make a Doug and Phil video. I wait until they're done
"Corey, want some sushi?" I asked while grabbing a water bottle out of the fridge
"Me, Devyn, Kat, and Sam are all going to this carnival thing, Jake is at his classes and Aaron's going to be at Tori's," he said with a bummed face "I know Ash is mad at you but you can ask her to sushi," he finishes.

I get a text, it's Ash,

A: Can we meet for food at 12:30, I have an audition at 7
C: O
C: yea, sure
C: what Sushi place?
A: that small one downtown (that one Jake, Colby, and Griffin went to but was closed)
C: sure, uh, should I bring someone??
A: Uhmm no, I feel like they would feel like a third wheel or feel the tension between each other...
C: Oh, okay
A: See you in 2 hours!🙂
C: See you soon 🙂

I edit the video for next week until it was 12. I got ready then ran out the door saying nothing, I get in my car and drive to the sushi place, I was so nervous to see Ash, I haven't seen her since the- you know- the Incident.

Ash's POV

I was sitting in my car across the street waiting to see Colby or his car, I looked at the time, it's 12:50, I was starting to get worried that Colby didn't really want to go or - I don't know- something happened. I facetime Kat.

"Kat, he isn't here yet, what do I do?" I say worried he wouldn't come
"If he isn't there in 20 minutes, you will come over, watch romance movies and eat junk food for the rest of the day!" She says making me feel slightly better
"Ok, I gotta go, Sam's calling." I said "Oh and, it's not what you think, he's probably wondering where Colby is or something," I inform her so she doesn't go all mental on me
"I know, we've been dating for about 4 years, I know he wouldn't cheat on me!" She says
"Get married already!" I said excited that I might be the bride's maid
"Tell that to Sam! He has all this life plan going on and he - well, I think - won't get married until his 30s," she said hanging up so I can call back Sam

"Hey Sam, what's up?" I say confused about what he called for
"Do you know where Colby is?" He asks wondering where is best friend is "Everyone's here except Brennen but he's out of the state," he finishes
"Oh, we are going to eat sushi-AHHHH" I scream leaving a cliffhanger.

A/N: Aren't you glad I left you on a cliffhanger? No? Oh okay... I'll do it more often. Sorry if I didn't update in like 6 months, I had this quarantine thing and online school but I mostly wasn't in the mood for writing but when I was, I was in a writers block. But enough with the excuses, I just wanted to say...Thank you for like 400 reads, I didn't really know people would read this story, I just wrote this book for fun not evan caring about how many people read this.
