I looked over at Bucky. "What's that look for?" I asked. Bucky shook his head and chuckled. "No reason." He replied, standing up and walking over to Steve. I listened in on their small conversation.
"Remember when I made you ride the Cyclone at Coney Island?" Bucky asked. Steve looked at the line above them. "Yeah and I threw up?" He responded.
"This isn't payback, is it?"
"Now why would I do that?"
I giggled as I listened. Steve turned to me and rose an eyebrow. "What are you laughing at?" I looked at him and held back my laughed. "I remember that night."
Bucky looked out at the mountain range. I stood up and walked over next to him, pulling him off to the side. "What's wrong?" He whispered. I looked up at him and cupped his cheeks, pulling him in for a kiss.
It only took a second for him to process what was happening. Bucky placed his hands on my hips and kissed me back. He pulled back and looked at the others who were staring at us.
They all quickly looked away, acting like they didn't see anything. "I'll be waiting for you.." I whispered, burying my head into his chest. Bucky lifted my head and placed another kiss on my lips.
"I know you will be, snowflake.." he replied. "We were right," one of the commandos who went by Jones began. "Dr. Zola's on the train. HYDRA dispatcher gave him permission to open up the throttle. Wherever he's going, they must need him bad."
Montgomery nodded in response as he saw the train come around the corner. "Let's get going because they're moving like the devil."
Steve pinned his eyes on the train, timing it for when he leaves. "We only got about a ten second window. You miss that window, we're bugs on a windshield." Steve stated, placing his line into the zippline. "Maitenant!" Another commando yelled.
Steve pushed off the cliff and began sliding down to the train. Bucky followed after him, then another. I hugged myself as I watched Bucky leave. James Falsworth walked over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"They'll be back soon. We're going to meet later again today to talk about the next mission." He stated. I looked up at him and nodded. "We'll start walking up, meet Stark at the chopper then head back. Then I believe Stark will come back and get those three."
"Then you and Sergeant Barnes can be alone and do your own thing." Dugan laughed, winking at me. "Oh lord.." I whispered, shaking my head. A couple of the howling commandos began walking up. I followed closely behind, being helped up a few times by them.
We made it to our destination and waited for Howard to arrive. It didn't take long till we heard the sound of the helicopter above us. He landed and we all got in.
"I'm taking you guys back to base. Agent Carter asks me to take Miss Y/L/N to London." Stark said, turning his head to look back at us. "Why London?" I asked.
"Her orders. I think she wants you to meet her there. That's where I'm taking Sergeant Barnes and Captain Rogers afterwards as well." Stark replied. I pursed my lips and nodded.
I leaned back and closed my eyes, only imagining what all of this is going to be like when it's over. I had fallen asleep but I woke up when we had landed. The men got off the chopper so it was just me and Stark.
"You look familiar.. have we met before?" Howard asked. I looked over at him and shook my head. "No. You might've saw me at the Stark Expo though. We were up at the front." I responded. Stark nodded.
"That's right. I saw you with Sergeant Barnes and at that point, it was only little Steven Rogers." He stated. I giggled at the name he had given Steve. "We'll be arriving some time tomorrow. Agent Carter had left a while ago, so she should be there before us."
"What about the other three?" I asked. Howard turned his head to face me. "Same thing I'm doing with you. Dropping you off with Carter then heading back to get them." Stark replied.
I nodded silently. I was worried, I didn't know what was going to happen. We sat in silence till I fell back asleep. It was a fast ride. Only about 8 hours or so with some stops. I didn't realize how long it was cause I slept most the way.
I had woken up just moments before we landed. "Miss Y/L/N, we're here." Stark finally announced. I stood up, wrapping myself in the jacket Bucky gave me. I got out of the helicopter and looked around for Peggy. After about five or ten minutes, Stark had left once again.
"Y/N!" I heard from behind me.
I turned and saw her. "I see you're doing well." She smiled. "I could be better." I looked around. "What the fuck happened?" I asked. "It was blown. If I knew it was going to be like this, I wouldn't have come here."
I shrugged. "I'm sure it cant really get worse than what it is already."
"Anyways. Follow me.. won't be long till the others arrive." Peggy stated. "You can rest till they get here.."
I thought about it for a moment. "I can't really rest.. I'm too worried." Peggy looked at me. "You get to see them in a few hours. Nothing to worry about. Follow me."
I followed Peggy to god knows where. When we arrived, she gave me something to eat and drink. I was still wrapped up in Bucky's jacket. I would get the shivers every now and then and I would press the sleeves against my against my face.
It was another long eight or so hours. I wanted to sleep but just couldn't. We heard the chopper come down. I ran over and waited for it to land. I only saw Steve come out.
"Steve? Where's Bucky?" I asked. He looked at the ground, not wanting to show the fact that he's been crying for the last few hours.
"Steven Grant! Where is Bucky?!"
