Junior pushed Brutus to the bed, besides his son.

"What's taking so long?" Trae popped his head in.

"Just off the nigga," Marcus suggested from the passage he stood in with Trae.

"Listen to your boys," Brutus said as he stared at Junior's gun that was pointed towards him.

"Shut up!" Junior shouted.

The little boy squirmed, making muffled noises.

JP shook his head and stood up. He walked to Junior and whispered to him.

Brutus slid to the floor and stretched his good arm under the bed whilst keeping an eye on the pair standing by the door.

"What's going on with you?" JP asked with a hint of irritation.

Junior didn't know why he failed to kill Brutus on sight. He started questioning if he had gone soft.

A cock of the gun surprised JP and Junior who snapped their heads towards Brutus.

"Now we play by my rules," Brutus smirked.

JP lunged for his son and a gun went off.

Brutus watched as his son's body fell to the ground with blood seeping from his head. He then stared at the gun he just discharged then back at the little boy. Anger filled him and he pointed the gun towards JP who was standing up.

Junior shot Brutus in the abdomen and he cowered.

"Yo, let's go," JP said as he rushed to the door.

All four guys ran downstairs.

"Trash the place first," Junior ordered.

...

Sage was on her bed when Letoya walked into their bedroom.

"Hey Sage," Letoya greeted lowly before sitting on hers.

Sage was taken aback because Letoya had ceased communication between the two.

"Um, hey," she peered at her before going back to scrolling on Instagram.

"We need to talk," Letoya stated.

"Okay," Sage locked her phone and placed it down. She then sat up and gave Letoya attention.

"I-I need to tell you something," Letoya nervously spoke.

Sage rolled her eyes, "If it's about not trusting Ashley, I've heard it before so you can..."

"No, it's something I did," Letoya cut her off.

"Oh."

"After Junior's party, the day after to be exact, I - we stole your phone and watch when you were sleeping," Letoya confessed.

Sage wore a perplexed look on her face, "Who is we?" She asked calmly but her heart reacted quite the opposite.

Letoya shifted on her bed, "Candy, Nessa, and I."

Sage kept quiet. She didn't know what to say.

She thought back to that weekend, then remembered that she had returned with her phone but was too exhausted to take note of it.

"Say something Sage," Letoya whispered.

"Why?" The word left Sage's mouth without thought.

Letoya opened her mouth then closed it.

Sage looked at her with rage, "Why?! What was the reason?" Her voice raised an octave.

"I... I don't know," Letoya stammered.
