"Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" I nodded my head for the 50th time as I wiped oatmeal off of Luca's cheeks with some kitchen roll.

"I told you Jae, you boys go, I'll finish packing up for our vacation. The flight leaves tomorrow morning and I still have lots to get done here."

Jaehyun's been trying to persuade me for the last week to come with him on the drive to Busan to drop off Luca, but I'd much rather not. The thought of seeing my mother-in-law makes me nauseous,so I'm adamant not to go on the 2 hour journey south. I'm gonna miss my baby though, so much. I gave Luca a kiss after cleaning him up. He tried to wiggle out of my grip, apparently, he's too big now for Mommy's kisses.

"Okay Lis, suit yourself. Come on buddy, go get your bag from your room."

We watched Luca run out of the dining area and rush up the stairs. He hasn't shown any hint of nerves yet but I'm still worried. This'll be the longest we've ever been apart, a week is a long time for a young boy to go without his Mom. Jae must have noticed my skeptical expression because he came over, engulfing me in a hug that was meant to ease my mind.

"He'll be just fine babe. Mom'll take good care of him."

More like her maids will take care of him, but I bit my tongue. Voicing my concerns won't change anything, our tickets are already booked.

"You're right honey, I'm just being silly." I pecked his cheek and went upstairs to check on how Luca was doing.

And to give him another cuddle.

"What is it Jennie? I'm kind of in the middle of something." I had to use a shoulder to hold the phone to my ear, as I rifled through our closet, pulling out outfits to put in our suitcases.

"Really? Doing what?"

"Packing for the trip that my husband is taking me on."

I heard her groan. "Oh right, that guy. Where are you two jetting off to?"

"Mykonos, that island off the Greek coast. I'm already dreading the major jet-lag."

"Mmmhmm."

I put down the shirt I was folding to grip the phone in my hand, giving Jen my full attention.

"Look Jennie, let's skip the small talk. Is there a reason you called?"

"Yes. I need to see you Lisa, please."

"You can see me when I get back in 8 days. You know where I live."

"That's 192 hours too long for me to wait."

I was impressed by her quick math, but I decided not to comment on it.

"Jen, I was serious on Friday when I said we had to put an end to whatever's going on. At this rate, I'm gonna have to visit the priest for confession."

"But Lisa, I know you like being with me, just as much as I like being with you. Come over,even if it's only for a little while. We don't even have to touch inappropriately if it makes you blush too much, church girl."

"I don't know..."

"I'm not gonna ask you again, please. Just tell Jae some excuse."

"Jae's not here, he just left for Busan with Luca."

"Well how long till he's home?"

"I don't know Jen, maybe, 5 hours depending on traffic."

"Well that's perfect, isn't it? Fate has opened a window for us to see each other. The universe literally said gay rights."
