Jensen x Danneel + Reader~Angst

This is a request for AbigailVanbaugh Its mostly platonic and I'm basing it off the song Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi. Enjoy.

Walking up the front steps of the Ackles household, I wasn't joyous to say the least.

Jensen, my ex, was getting married to my best friend, Danneel. Who was absolutely perfect for him, they were perfect together. Always had been, always will be. So it's hard to be upset with them, but for some reason I still am.

I raised my free hand slowly and knocked on the door softly, hoping that maybe nobody had heard and I could just leave. But to my disdain, Jared opens the door with a bright smile and pulled me into a tight hug, which was hard for me to return.

I loved the giant, but he'd always been Jensens friend. Not mine.

I patted his back before he pulled back and took the cupcakes I was holding in my left hand, "These look delicious (y/n)!" He said, licking his lips and examining the treats.

"Thanks Jared. Made em myself this morning." I told him while slipping off my coat and going to hang it up in the spot that used to be mine when I lived here.

I paused for a moment, just staring at Danneel's coat that now hung in my spot, Jared gave me a sad smile and I just shrugged before hanging it elsewhere.

"So where is everyone?" I asked, reaching out for the box of cupcakes and moving towards the kitchen.

"They're all in the living room, I'm pretty sure the kids are upstairs somewhere." He mentioned.

I flinched at the mention of kids, Jensen and Danneel hadn't had any yet, but they were planning on it, based on the fact that they had created a play room out of what used to be my office.

Jared just rubbed my back softly and guided me to the living room where everyone was sat, snuggling close with one another while laughing about something Misha's wife, Vicky said.

Gen smiled widely at me and stood to come give me a hug, "Looks like the party finally arrived guys!" I smiled and gave her a hug back, Gen and I had always been close, and thankfully that hadn't changed one bit when Jensen and I split up.

She held me at arms length before rubbing my arm and giving me a softly smile, I hadn't really hung out with Danneel and Jensen at the same time yet, and she knew the toll it took on me to just know they were together.

I nodded at her and gave her hand a small squeeze before Danneel squeezed in next to her, "My turn!" She giggled happily, pulling me into a tight hug when Gen moved away.

"Hey girl! I've missed you! You haven't been answering my calls missy." She scolded jokingly and placed a kiss on my cheek.

I just chuckled awkwardly and wrapped my arms around myself once she pulled back. She smiled once more before sitting back next to Jensen and snuggling into his side.

We stared at each other for moment before he cleared his throat and gave me an uncomfortable smile, "Hey (Y/n).." he gave me that awkward white person smile that one would give to a friend they see passing by with their parents in a store.

I just waved slightly and gave him the same smile before the room fell silent for a moment, "How about those cupcakes huh?" Misha stood and clapped his hands before rubbing them together with an excited smile.

"Oh yeah! They're in the kitchen." I told him nodding towards the other room. He smiled and grabbed his wives hand before pulling her to the kitchen causing all of us to chuckle before I decided to take a seat in the rocking chair near the fire place.
