ANYWAYS. THIS TOOK FOR-FUCKING-EVER BUT IT'S FINALLY HEREEEEEE!!!!! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO MAKE A STEVE HARRINGTON SHIP EDIT FOR FOREVER AND I FINALLY DID IT!!!!! Really, thank you so much again for requesting!! Diana Silvers is also like, the LOML, so it was fun to look at her face while editing ☺ (Also, this bitch was made for horror movies?? Like I knew she was in Ma, but I didn't know she was in Into the Dark... watching that episode fucked me up, like this is exactly why I don't trust men.)
Coming up with and executing the concept for this video was utter hell (but don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it!!) I feel like, because of the song I chose and the footage of Diana and Steve, the style of this video is very different from my other ship videos. Usually, in my videos, there's not really a cohesive story that follows a set timeline. I tend to let the song enhance the footage of the characters to highlight specific plot points/elements of the ship, if that makes sense. But, like I mentioned, the song I chose felt more like it was describing the story itself/the Stranger Things universe rather than the ship. So, while the video does focus on Steve & Rosemary, it doesn't just focus on the romantic elements, it also follows the timeline of Stranger Things S2.
(I feel like all of this will make so much more sense once you watch the video, but I love over-explaining my work process so here we are!)
But yeah, this was probably pretty risky considering I don't exactly know how Rose fits into the Stranger Things universe/certain plot points (I really hope I didn't put her a scene that she wasn't supposed to be in) ... but I hope I did your story justice!!
TO ANYONE WHO'S ABOUT TO WATCH THIS VIDEO AND HASN'T READ FINAL GIRL: Alex Wolff (who makes an appearance in the video) plays a character who got really close to Rosie & then tried to sacrifice her (all this happens before her relationship with Steve/the events of the book/s2 of Stranger Things). She suffers from PTSD (understandably), so I did incorporate elements of that experience into the video. I just wanted to clarify, just in case y'all get confused as to why this random character is in a ship video between Steve & Rose LOL. With that being said: TW IN THIS VIDEO // PTSD, allusions to body dysmorphia
(Side note, but I downloaded Hereditary to get the footage of Alex and I WAS SO SCAREDDDD. Thankfully I didn't see anything super horrifying (I read like, six summaries of the movie beforehand & eventually, I just cut out the end scene and got all the footage from there) but god it was terrifying. Anyways. Enjoy the video.)
