So, if you're not aware of who Maeve is, DAMN do I feel sorry for you! Because not only is she the coolest person in the fucking WORLD, but her WRITING. Her fucking WRITING. I can't stress enough how fucking talented she is. There are very few authors (on and off of Wattpad) who can make me cry (side note:Sam, if you're reading this, I'm looking directly at you, you know your crimes against humanity!!) and Maeve never misses. Seriously, every time I read her work, I usually go through the five stages of grief, but also my serotonin levels skyrocket, and I'm usually laugh my ass off because not only is she good at writing incredibly heartbreaking angst, but all her characters are funny as hell, and there are a lot of soft, cute platonic and romantic moments (seriously, if you look at my comments on any of her fics, I'm usually writing "NOW KISS" three sentences into the first chapter.)
I can't put into words how fucking amazing she is (I don't have a way with words like she does LOL) but I guarantee you, her writing will take your breath away. I don't care if you're not a DC fan, do yourself a favor and read her work. You won't regret it. Her characters are so real and so three-dimensional, her plots are GOD TIER, and her writing is literal poetry so. You can't go wrong here.
(Also, full offense, but what are you doing on my account if you don't know who Maeve is? Because if you follow me and you don't follow Maeve, then what's the point??)
Anyways. Let's talk about the video (because as y'all know, I love to overexplain my work process to the two people who actually bother to listen.)
To be honest, I was going THROUGH it while editing this (see: our chats when I texted you at like, 1 in the morning despairing over how I'm untalented as shit.) Like, it was just not coming together. Nothing looked good. I couldn't get the clips to match, the transitions were ugly... I was ready to throw FCP and my YouTube account away, it was that serious. But then, I made the manip and I was like, "Okay, maybe this is isn't absolute shit." And it all kind of fell into place after that LOL. (That is, until YouTube refused to let me upload the video, those bitches!! But it's up now, which is why this is a little late, but it's fine!!) I really hope you like it! All my information about the book and the characters really just came from the video edit you made so I hope everything's accurate!! I absolutely can't wait to read it!!
Maeve, I love you so much. Thanks for always putting up with my bullshit and listening to me rant over anything and everything. Seriously, some higher power was looking out for me the day we met, and I'm so fucking happy that we're friends because everything is so much brighter with you in my life ☺
