Chapter 5

The house door was pounding heavily, it was already 2 in the morning.

Noah Smith was sitting on a reclining chair, he knew that who is on the door but he was in no mood for an argument.
He continued sitting there without bothering.

The Mansion was dark at this time of night, no servants were there, when he noticed that Mrs. Smith didn't wake up to open the door, he stood up from his chair reluctantly and started walking to the hallway when he reached near the stairs, he heard the pounding had increased.

He approached the door with a little anger and there she was standing in a drunken condition.

"Nora", he shouted anger boiling in his veins.

" hey", she waved her hand and chuckled.

"Look at your state, it's not suitable for staying outside, do you have any idea if any reporter has caught this, how the other will use this against Smith's?", he yanked her inside and roared at her.

She was unable to balance her body and fell on the living room couch.

Looking at her condition, Noah sighed and pick her up to her room.
After laying her down on the bed, he called the servant aunt and told her to clean her up.

He walked back to his room, his phone was ringing, Demon's name was blinking on the screen, he picked up the phone and answered it.

" hi", he sounded a little absent-minded.

" Hey, is everything all right?" asked Demon concerned.

"Yeah, you know that I'm worried about Nora, she is naive but too rebellious to understand this fact, as you know we wanted to move back to L.A, but she is insisting on staying here in London", he said helplessly.

"How about let her stay there for some time", Demon suggested.

" We can't let her stay here, you know that it is dangerous for her alone because we have too many enemies and we can't guess who is planning against us", he replied worriedly.

"I'll talk to her, don't worry, she always listens to me", Demon smiled and assure him.

"I'll book the flight for the day after tomorrow, make sure to agree her till then", Noah replied a little relieved.

They talked a little more about business before bidding goodbye to each other.

In the office, Demon was sitting across the table with a resume in his hand.

"So, you are the new marketing manager Mr. Joseph Payne", Demon asked looking at him.

" Yes sir", Joseph replied.

"Our company is going to launch a new product with the corporation of Smith Enterprise, I want you to handle the marketing campaign well before the product launch", Demon said, dismissing the discussion.

Joseph nodded his head to him and walked out of the office.

Nora's phone was ringing, she picked it up without looking at the caller ID.

" hello", who is there?", she asked not paying attention.

"When are you coming to meet me", there was a deep voice speaking on the other side of the phone.

" Demon", she squealed with excitement.

"Yeah, I thought you didn't recognize me just now", he teased and there was a hint of smile in his voice.

" When you're expecting me, I'll be right there, but you have to say that first, you are missing me", she teased back.

"Come with Noah, I also have a surprise for you", he replied sounding amused by her.

" Ok, I'll be there but don't forget the surprise", she replied in agreement.

"Waiting for you, bye", he dismissed the call.
