Chapter 6

Emma was walking in the university corridors with her best friends Kara and Nathan.

"You know our group is planning a tour this weekend", informed Nathan.

" Where are they planning to go", Kara asked interested.

"Mountains for hiking and camping", Nathan sounded excited.

" That's really fun", Kara got excited all of the sudden.

"And Emma is also coming with us", Nathan announced in a non-negotiable tone.

" But dad would never allow me to go, you know how much protective he could be sometimes", Emma replied

"You could tell him you are staying at my place this weekend", Kara suggested.

They approached the university gate while talking.

" Look, the sexy is standing there", Kara pointed at Adam who was standing near the car waiting for Emma.

"Stop eye raping him", Nathan rolled his eyes and they both laughed.

Emma bid them farewell and started walking toward the car.

She looked at Adam who was standing there wearing a light blue shirt and khaki pants.
His features were very prominent, his strong arms were behind his back and he was looking at her with his charming eyes, his light brown orbs has a pale green circle around and his sharp jawline has a little stubble on it.

When Emma reached near the car he opened the door for her.
Emma thanked him before sitting in the back seat.

He started driving but Emma was still deep in thought. He looked at her through the rearview mirror.

" What are you thinking Emma", he asked.

"Nothing important", she signed.

" You know, you can tell me, we are more like friends now", he replied looking at the road ahead.

"Actually our group is planning for a tour this weekend", she hesitated.

" And you want to join them but not sure if Mr. Taylor would allow you to go", he replied amused at her worry.

"Yeah, but Kara offered me help, she said I can tell dad that I'm staying at her place for the weekend", she retorted.

" You can offer him to bring me with you as your driver and bodyguard to sound more convincing", he offered and winked at her.

She blushed a little at his action.

The car pulled in the driveway, she opened the door and got out of the car.
When she entered the living room aunt Marry was standing near the kitchen door.

"Aunt Marry, is dad at home?", she asked dropping her body on the couch.

" Mr. Taylor and Mr. Dean are in the study upstairs", marry informed.

She got up walked past the living room and went upstairs toward the study room.
She wanted to ask her dad about staying at Kara's.
She knocked on the study door and went inside.

Mr. Taylor was sitting on his chair behind the desk while Dean was sitting on the couch. They both were discussing something.

Mr. Taylor looked at her and an affectionate smile crept on his face.

"How is my baby girl doing?", he asked lovingly.

"Dad, does she looked like a baby girl?", Dean laughed in a teasing tone.

" Dad, look at him", she pouted while pointing at him complaining.

Mr. Taylor and Dean laughed at her childish behavior.

"Dean, don't tease my daughter", Mr. Taylor warned in an amused tone.

Dean put his hands up in a surrendering gesture and chuckled.
