When Robin awoke, Regina was gone. Panicking, he stood up and ran out of the door. He didn't know what to do but as he looked down the hall his heart stopped. She was unsteadily walking toward him, a coffee in each hand, smiling softly. Somewhere within him, something clicked; that woman was stunning. His jaw dropped slightly as he stared. Quickly snapping out of it, he helped Regina back into her room.

"The nurse said I can go whenever I'm ready," She said, taking a sip of her coffee. Robin was perched on the end of the bed, "That's great, what's your favourite food?" He continued with a sweet smile, "I want to cook for you this evening" Regina shook her head and questioned, "Can't I cook for you instead?" Robin laughed softly, "Absolutely not! You need to rest and that is what you are going to do okay?" Giggling, Regina nodded and slowly stood up.

Robin walked back into the room once Regina had changed and sorted her things out. Together they left the hospital, making there way back to Robin's apartment which was about a 15 minute drive. On the way back, they made a quick detour to the shop to pick up some things. Robin was planning on cooking his famous spaghetti bolognese.

When he was young, Robin learnt to cook. After the death of his mother, he had to learn to look after himself. Cooking, cleaning and even paying the bills as he grew up because his father was never there. He was usually passed out when Robin left for school and gone by the time he was home. They never spoke, his father would shout for a while then go out drinking or go to bed. Robin often wondered if his father knew what it felt like to be sober because however hard Robin tried to help his father was always drunk.

Regina finally sat down after spending about ten minutes telling Robin she was okay and was happy to help. Obviously Robin didn't accept her offer and made her sit down and rest while he cooked. Exhausted and sore, she pulled the blanket closer and dozed off.
Meanwhile, Robin was in the kitchen cooking when his phone rang. He answered the call and Marian shouted down the phone at him, something about him not spending time with her and all of that. In all honesty though, Robin didn't care. Apologising and promising to call her later, he hung up and dished up dinner.

Gently, Robin called Regina's name to awaken her. She awoke, a little startled at first but quickly calmed down and made her way to the table. They talked a lot while they ate the delicious food Robin had made. It was as if they'd known each other for years when in reality it had only been a week or so.

After dinner they watched a movie together accompanied by some wine. Regina looked at Robin, "Thank you, for all of this" She smiled and took a sip of wine. Robin simply nodded and smiled while looking deeply into her eyes. Momentarily, they just stared at one another; Robin's heart skipped a beat as he slowly leaned closer toward the mesmerised woman. He clenched his fists as he pressed his lips against hers.

Abruptly, Regina got up and began to speak, her words all jumbled up. She made her way to the kitchen a little shaken and opened up a bottle of wine. Gently, Robin placed a hand on her shoulder, "I- I'm sor-" Before he could finish, the brunette's lips were pressed against his. The room around them dissolved. Parting her lips, Robin entangled his tongue with Regina's deepening the kiss. Regina's arms were wrapped tightly around Robin's neck, like his were around her middle. For the first time, they both felt at home.

Interrupted by a loud knock on the door, their precious moment ended. Cautiously, the pair made their way to the door. Regina's hand was glued to Robin's as fear overtook her. Robin squeezed her hand and took a deep breath, preparing to face whatever demons awaited them; he opened the door.
