"H-how did you find me..?" Regina asked, petrified.
There was a moment of pause before he mockingly laughed, "You think it was hard? Look darling, you have no idea of what I am capable of. Now, come on, we are leaving." Regina let out a deep sigh as she let go of Robin's hand and began to walk towards Leopold. Hesitating only briefly, Robin pleaded, "Just let her stay with me.. please.. even if just for tonight, she nearly died! Let her rest and recuperate, I'll bring her with me to work tomorro-" He was cut off by a fuming Leopold. "She does what I fucking want!" He paused, "So I suggest you shut the fuck up and let her leave."As much as Regina wanted to stay, Robin's safety was a priority. For the first time in a long time, Regina had felt safe. Now though, that feeling had been overcome by fear. It was as though she had seen briefly seen light before being plunged back into the darkness.
Regina blinked as she watched Robin pull out his phone. "I will phone the police if you do not let Regina stay here tonight." The room fell silent until Leopold laughed, "You wouldn't, why do you care so much about that little thing anyway? She's nothing, just like you." He sneered as he grabbed Regina's arm causing her to flinch. As he began to pull her out of the small apartment, the faint sounds of Robin dialling '999' weren't heard by the others. He put the phone to his ear and quickly realised it wasn't ringing, it had slipped his mind that in this corner of the apartment, the service was rubbish.
Thinking fast, he pretended to be on the phone and prayed that it was enough. "Hello, police please" He stated as the world fell silent. Leopold let go of Regina's arm and went for Robin's instead. Robin jumped backwards as Leopold swung for him. Although, Robin wasn't as lucky the second time, Leopold swung for him again knocking the phone straight out of his hand. The phone smashed to the floor about a metre away.
Leopold plunged towards Robin, shoving Regina out of the way in the process. Regina stumbled backwards, quickly loosing her balance. Robin and Leopold were now throwing punches left, right and centre. Blood began to stain the floor as Regina got to her feet. "STOP!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. The room fell silent.
The courage this took, was something that Regina forgot she had possessed. Before Leopold, she'd been a sassy teenager. Her and her friends would walk around like royalty, they'd attend parties most weekends and would have the best of times. She forgot what that felt like, to be on top of the world. Since Leopold, she'd been stuck in a dark corner of the world. Now though, she was ready to walk again. Ready to fight.
"I don't want you Leopold. Not anymore, you're a nasty man now and don't deserve anyone." She took a deep breath as a single tear trickled down her fair face. Leopold began to speak, "You need m-" Regina quickly cut him off, "I don't need anybody, so I suggest you leave before I drag your ass to court for everything you've ever done to me. Every single fucking little thing." Leopold was taken aback by her sudden outburst. "This isn't the end Regina. You will come back to me, just you wait." He snarled and huffed angrily as he slammed the door behind him.
