Jughead's POV

Betty arrived at my house breathless. I raised my eyebrows at her, but she shook her head, telling me not to ask.

The others were due to arrive in like five minutes. I usually didn't let it show, but I was pretty excited. I had only ever been to Toledo, Ohio to visit my Mom, and New York with Veronica. This would be my first time on an actual plane.

"Hellooo?" a certain snobbish voice sounded, pulling me out of my daze.

"Jug, open the hell up." Another called. I knew who it was right away.

I opened the door to Cheryl and Toni standing right in front of me. The both wore blazing red, low-cut minidresses, with their serpent jackets slung over.

Closely behind them followed, Veronica, Archie, and Kevin.

"Hey guys," they called out happily.

"Hey!" Betty called back. She went over to hug Archie, and for a split second I was hurt, wondering if she would catch feelings for him again. But I tried to push the thoughts away. Nothing could ruin today.

"So, we're all here? Great, my Dad said he could drop us off at the airport."

On cue, my Dad, FP Jones, strided up. With his serpent jacket and shades on, he looked like a bad boy. But as he called,

"Ok everyone, let's get this show on the road!" it was just a confirmation that he was my same old man.

We all got into the big pickup truck, ready to leave when a car screeched up. Everyone looked back in confusion, to see Reggie, Josie, and Sweet Pea running towards the car.

None of us said it, but I knew we were all thinking the same thing. We had forgotten the three of them.

"Oh my gosh!" Veronica started. "Where were you guys? I was actually just about to call," she said in a completely unconvincing voice.

Josie rolled her eyes. "Cut the act, Veronica. Reggie and I were on our way when I decided to stop by Sweet Pea's to pick up my favorite sunglasses. It turns out he was still asleep."

Sweet Pea turned ever so slightly red, and looked down. "Sorry guys, I forgot to set my alarm last night."

"It's okay Sweet Pea," Toni said, her soft side coming out, "It all worked out in the end."

Kevin looked at my watch, worriedly. "Ummm... guys? I hate to break up this love-fest, but our plane leaves in an hour."

As we all hurriedly climbed into the truck, Dad looked at us, pulling his shades down librarian style and said,

"Hold on kids. We're in for a ride."

Andddd scene! Lol sorry for the short chapter everyone, I'll try to update later today or tomorrow! Remember to vote! ❤️
