Hey everyone! This is a short story fan-fic of Riverdale. As a background, season 4 just ended and since I miss Riverdale, here's a mini adventure that the gang goes through before college. Also, this is going to be told through alternating perspectives of Betty and Jughead because I'm a major bughead shipper lol. I'll try to post as often as I can. Enjoy! :)

It's been three years. Three years since the chaos started. Three years since my life went from normal to something out of a fairytale. But not in a good way. If I had a time machine, I'd go back. Before Jason got murdered, before I got myself wrapped up in all sorts of mysteries.

The only good from the past couple of years had been my friends. Archie, Veronica, and Jughead. Especially Jughead. He'd been my light in the dark ever since we started dating. The peanut butter to my jelly. The sugar that kept me sweet when I got salty. I honestly have no idea what I would do without him.

But I'd have to figure out. In exactly 31 days, we'd been going out separate ways, off to college. We were still together for course, just long-distance. A very, very long-distance. 2,874 miles to be exact. We'd made a pact to stay together no matter what. But who knows how long that'd last?

Anyways, I don't want to think about change. We still had 31 days left together. And those 31 days would be epic. No mysteries, no chaos, no bad luck. We would no longer be in Riverdale. Instead, the whole gang would be in California. That's right. Me, Jughead, Archie, Veronica, Toni, Cheryl, Reggie, Josie, Sweet Pea, and Kevin. We had booked a huge beach house, courtesy of Veronica. (She still felt guilty for all the trouble her father had given us.)

There would be no parents. No more Mom to go "Elizabeth", every time I stepped out of line. No more of my crazy Dad. (especially since he's dead lol) Our parents hadn't exactly agreed to let ten rowdy, hormonal teenagers stay by themselves in a house for a whole month together. We had to bring Charles, my older half-brother. Jughead's too. And before you ask, no we are not related by blood.

But he was cool, and didn't really care what we did, as long as there were no drugs. He was in rehab after overdosing on Jingle Jangle a couple years ago. I felt bad, because Mom has was the one who caused his overdose, but that's a different story.

This was going to be the best summer ever. No parents, no rules, and absolutely no mysteries to get wrapped up in. Or so I thought...
