This chapter will tell what the others saw before the fire.
Petra's POV:
The past few hours flashed before my eyes as the fire sprung up.
8 minutes before the fire
We had been walking home after spending all day in the office with Radar. I now realize why Jesse always looks so tired when he comes back from work.
"Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it." Said Jesse.
"No problem." I replied.
We continued to walk in silence when suddenly, out of nowhere, we heard a noise. It sounded like... people?
I pulled out my sword and checked for any signs of danger.
"Hold on Petra, we don't even know what made that noise." After he said that he looked around, scoping the area.
"I know what I'm doing, Jesse." As I said that I realized that he was staring at me with this strange look on his face, if it wasn't anger, than what could it be?
Jessica and Lukas, who had been walking behind us, caught up to us and stopped.
"What's wrong?" said Jessica, looking through the trees.
Jesse's POV:
What a long day. I thought to myself as we walked home. I'm just glad that Petra and Lukas agreed to help us with paperwork.
We kept walking and then we heard a noise. It sounded like people talking. Just then Petra drew her sword.
If someone was really there, I didn't want her getting hurt.
"Hold on Petra, we don't even know what made that noise." I warned.
"Know what I'm doing, Jesse." She replied.
Stubborn, but you gotta love her. I admire her bravery and her longing to help and save others.
When Jessica was looking through the trees, I realized that I had been staring at Petra. She gave me a confused look and I quickly turned away, burning red with embarrassment.
"Um, bro?" Said my twin, "you should see this."
Looking through with the others, I saw the two people. Both were talking in a strange language, which I couldn't understand.
The somewhat smaller one, in the moonlight, had something over their shoulders.
Lukas, carefully stepped forward. He had his eyes glued to the two silhouettes in the clearing, and probably didn't see the branch on the ground where he stepped.
SNAP!
Flinching at the loud sound, I turned to star at Lukas, but saw the two people turn toward us.
My eyes met the glowing, white eyes of the taller, which let me know his identity immediately.
Herobrine...
Herobrine and the smaller figure immediately pulled out enchanted diamond sword.
"RUN!" Lukas shouted at us, grabbing Jessica's wrist and beginning to flee, pulling Jessica after him.
My feet didn't want to move. I kept staring at Herobrine, then Petra yanked my sleeve.
"MOVE, Jesse!" She shouted, shoving me after Lukas and my sister.
The smaller form, which the moonlight revealed to be a female,, froze as I started to run.
"ອ້າຍເດັກ?" They called, in the strange language. Herobrine reached over and shook his head, and the female began racing after us, sheathing her sword.
