Midas x skye

this isn't a dream.... is it?

Skye woke up.
Her stomach still hurting from the wound.
She sat up and realized that the only had a bra and her pants on.
She looked around to find nobody there.
"Where am I?" Skye thought

"Hello?" She asked softly her voice sounded weak and corrupted her throat was sore and she had a small headache.
She could hear a bit of faint talking in the room next to her. She was curious but she didn't want to listen. She continued to look around and she seen many boxes. Their was a small table and it had a bunch of scattered papers on it.

She looked out the window behind her and all she could see was water.

She jumped at the sight and tried to back away accidentally falling back first off the bed. "Ah! Ow" she squeaked as she hit the floor with a thud. Another woman quickly came in the room and seen her on the floor. She helped her up and sat her back on the bed.

"Nice to see that your up" she said softly.
She had black hair tied into a high ponytail and some sunglasses resting on her head and bright brown almost hazel eyes. She had a professional looking grey suit on with a red tie grasping her collar. She also had a darker grey skirt on. The skirt complimented her hips nicely. She also had black heels completing the look.

"Thanks but what am I doing here?" Skye asked her voice still weak and corrupted.
"Well I'm rook an old friend of Midas and you were brought here by him when he seen the war break out around the authority and he seen you were injured so he brought you here" rook told her.
"Wait...Midas? No he....he's gone" Skye sighed

"Well it depends on the type of gone  your talking about" rook said grabbing a yellow shirt off the table. It looked similar to the one she had before so she tossed it over to skye and skye pulled it over her head.
"Well he's...dead kind of gone-wait where's my necklace? And Ollie?" She asked looking around.

"Oh this little fella? I thought he was kind of cute" rook said smiling and handing Ollie to Skye.
"Oh ollie,I missed you" Skye smiled putting Ollie on her head. Rook handed the necklace to her next. Skye put it back onto her neck holding it tightly.

"Oh and Skye Midas is not gone" rook added
"What?-no your lieing y-your a liar just like the rest of them" Skye huffed. "What if I could prove it to you?" Rook asked smirking.
"What do you mean? Theirs no way" Skye said perking up.

"Oh but their is,you see a month or two ago a shark attacked my boat which is the one your on now, and it was partially gold so  thought Midas was somewhere so I killed it but instead of it just floating away it disintegrated just out of thin air" rook started

"Like I'm going to believe that?" Skye huffed
"But its true,lying in front of me was Midas,he didn't have any broken limbs or any missing but he wasn't doing well,his body was failing and I didn't know what to do at first so I put my mechanic skills to the test and thankfully he lived long enough for me to make him a suit he still has his powers and he turned the suit gold so it could last him a life time compared to what it was before" rook finished.

"Ill believe it when I see it" Skye replied
"Midas?! Can you come here please?" Rook called out.
Skyes expression dropped as the door opened revealing Midas.
He had a bulky suit on and just as she described it was gold. Skye looked up at him in disbelief. the first thing that came to mind was how she didnt belive maya and brutus.

She tried to speak bit she wasn't able to. All she could do was look at him. He smiled seeing her and the she was ok. He couldn't wait any longer he hugged her as quick as he could. She hugged him back tightly. "Skye your ok" he whispered "me ok I'm better than ever,do you know how much you scared me hiding from me like this?" She said pulling away looking up at him.

"Well if I came back then I would be forced to join shadow or I'd be in a worse situation" he sighed.
Rook left the room leaving the two alone.
"Midas I thought you died" Skye sniffed

"Well I didn't and that's a good thing" he said hugging her again. "Do you know how scared I was? I was barely smiling without you,the others said I had changed lots since you've gone and they were right I wasn't myself anymore, I missed you" Skye said wiping tears from her eyes.

"Well hey,at least I'm here now and only a few more months with this suit on and ill be back to normal ok" he said smiling she nodded softly and Midas cupped her head in his hands making eye contact.

"Your still so pretty" He said smiling making her blush softly.
"And your still my heart" she giggled kissing his nose gently. It made him chuckle softly. Skye missed his voice. But then she looked down sadly. "What's wrong?" He asked following her gaze.
"Well,Maya and Brutus joined shadow a-and I didn't believe them when they tried to tell me that you were still alive" she sniffed tears coming to her bright blue eyes.

"Really? But Brutus-agh what's the point? Skye I'm alive so what if you didn't believe them" he told her.
"So what? Midas I killed Maya because of it! I killed her for no reason and i-i pulled a gun on Brutus" she cried
Midas hugged her softly and Skye buried her Face in her hands.

"Hey,its ok I've had made bad decisions like that before too,its ok your not alone anymore" he said kissing her forehead.
"Really? Your not mad?" She asked looking up at him.
"No why would I be mad? I just reunited with the person I loved most after her thinking I died how would I be mad?" He said flailing his arms around slightly. It made her giggle and she hugged him tightly again.

"I still can't believe it" she whispered
"Neither can I" he chuckled
She looked up at him and he kissed her softly letting their lips lock. He pulled at her waist bringing her closer. "I love you Skye" he whispered
"I love you too bossman" she giggled
