Chapter 5

"This man is weak. He needs a hospital. Not to be put in an asylum!" said a kindly citizen. "Have you ever been to an asylum before father? You wouldn't last a week. Take him away!" ordered Arren and as the asylum ambulance started to drive off Branwell arrived just in time to stop them from taking his father away "Stop!" he cried. "Bramwell! I thought I was going to lose you!" exclaimed Jasper "Let him out!" exclaimed "I', afraid I can't do that sir, but we'll take very good care of you father," said the asylum keeper, Bramwell exclaimed "My father's not crazy. Arren, tell him that our father is not crazy!" "You know how loyal I am to our father. But our father has been making some unbelievable claims," said Arren. One of the townsfolk stepped forward and said "It's true, Bramwell. He's been raving about vampires living in a castle nearby," "I've just come from the castle and there are a royal family of vampires living there!" exclaimed Branwell "You say anything to set our father free. Your word is hardly your proof," said Arren "You want proof? This is your proof," said Bramwell, took off his coat and lowered his shirt collar exposing the bite marks on his neck. Arren, the townsfolk and Jasper were shocked to see that Bramwell has become the latest victim of vampirism "No! Not you, Bramwell," said Jasper "Are they dangerous?" asked another town folk "Don't be afraid, they would never hurt anyone. They're very kind. They're my friends," answered Bramwell "They have my brother under their spell. If I didn't know better I'd say he's even cared for them for those monsters!" exclaimed Arren "They're no monsters, Arren. You are!" exclaimed Bramwell "They are a threat to our very existence! We can't have them running off to warn them. Lock him up too!" ordered Arren "No!" exclaimed Bramwell as he was locked in the asylum ambulance with his father "Fetch my horse. Stand guard! Don't let them escape. These creatures will curse us all if we don't stop them. Well, I say, we kill the vampires!" Exclaimed Arren. The townsfolk cheered and prepared themselves with crucifixes, holy water, garlic and wooden stakes and marched themselves off to the castle.

Brigette burst into the throne room and announced "Pardon me your majesties, there's a mob heading this was. The castle is about to be attacked." The king and queen ran towards a window and saw a bright orange lights heading towards the castle gates ""If it's a war they're after, it's a war they're going to get. Man the barricades! Put up the defence walls! Guards! Escort the queen down to the safe dungeons. Captain order your men to prepare for battle and take two of men with you to and escort the princess down to the safe dungeons. And if she's not cooperating, drag her with you!" ordered Lucius.
In the castle parlor Larue, Ivan, Emilio and Ansgar and Jenica were looking at each other very sad "At least Bramwell told Bella he loves her," said Larue as he danced with Jenica "A lot of good that'll do us if she doesn't confess her love to him," said Emilio "This is the first time I had real hope that Bella would save us," said Nicole "But there's still time," said Jenica "But not a lot," said Larue "Did you hear that mother? Is is him? Is he coming back?" asked Ivan as he turned to face the window and saw a mob approaching the castle gates "I told you," said Jenica. The captain of the guard burst into the parlor and announced "A mob of slayers have to kill us. They're attacking the castle. It's war everyone. You are all ordered to make yourselves down to the safe dungeons." The captain and two of the guards entered Bella's bedchambers "What's this? What's going on? What's happening?" asked Bella "We are ordered by the king, your father to escort you down to the safe dungeons as the castle is about to be attacked," answered the captain of the guards "I won't go down there," said Bella "I'm sorry your highness but you have no choice. Take her to the safe dungeons," ordered the captain and the two guards grabbed Bella by the arms and dragged her to the safe dungeons.
"Father, this is all my fault. I have to warn them," said Bramwell "Warn them? How did you get away from them?" asked Jasper "The princess let me go, father. She sent me back to you," answered Bramwell as he pulled out a hair clip he found "Where did you...?" asked Jasper "Bella took me there. I know happened to mother. It wasn't vampires that killed her. She was murdered by a gang," answered Bramwell "I feel so ashamed of myself. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusion. But not I understand," admitted Jasper "Will you help me now?" asked Bramwell "I could try to pick the lock. It's only gears and springs. I need something long and sharp," answered Jasper as Bramwell pulled out a long pin that held his formal tie "That's perfect," said Jasper. Jasper picked the lock, leapt out of the ambulance, knocked the driver unconscious who was standing guard and they both mounted Bramwell's horse "I'm coming with you!" said Jasper "No!" said Bramwell "I've lost you once. I won't lose you again!" said Jasper "Then we must hurry," said Bramwell and they galloped off back to the castle.

Arren and the mob arrived at the castle gates "Shall I give the order, your majesty?" asked the captain of the guard, Lucius nodded "ATTACK!" cried the captain of the guard. As both the and the royal vampire army fight Bramwell and Jasper arrived just in time and saw that Arren had managed to make his way into the castle "Let's go!" cried Bramwell. In the safe dungeons Bella looked out of the window and to her delight she saw Bramwell and Jasper approaching the castle doors "I must go and help him," said Bella "How darling? We can't leave here," said Sanrika "You're forgetting mother. We are vampires. We have the strength of ten men in us," said Bella. Bella bent the bars of the window, climbed out of the window and torn her dress so that she can run up the castle walls without any complications.
As Lucius looked down from the tower in horror as he watched half of his army perish and saw most of the surviving members of the mob fled back to town he heard footsteps approaching him. Arren introduced himself as he held a Mars automatic pistol in his hand up to Lucius. "Hello, your majesty. I'm Arren. Bramwell sent me." Bramwell and Jasper arrived, looked up at the tower and Arren with Lucius "Arren, no!" cried Bramwell as Arren shot Lucius in the left shoulder. Bramwell and Jasper leapt off the horse, ran through the castle and up to the tower. Bramwell snatched and broke Arren's first Mars automatic pistol. As the edge of the tower crumbled beneath their feet Arren fell and shouted "I'm coming for you, your majesty!" Bramwell leapt from the tower to another as Bella ran to a nearby castle parlor balcony and screamed "No!" as she saw Bramwell sliding off the roof tiles. Bramwell looked in the direction where Bella's voice came from "Bella? Bella!" he cried "You came back," said Bella "I've tried to stop them. Just stay there! I'm coming!" shouted Bramwell. Arren saw his brother leap off one tower to another towards the balcony where Bella is, ceased his pursuit and instead stopped his brother from leaping off the last tower and began fighting with Bramwell. Bramwell grabbed hold of Arren by the neck and dangled him off the edge of a tower.
Arren felt frightened and begged his brother to spare him "Let me go! Please, I'll do anything! Anything! Just let me go brother!" Bramwell felt angry with Arren and then realizing what he was about to do to Arren, lowered his brother back onto the edge of the tower and he said to him "I am no longer your brother. Go! Get out!" Arren ran down from the tower to a very narrow bridge. Her friends, mother, father and Jasper quickly joined Bella on the balcony and watched Bramwell take a few steps to make a starting run to make run to make a giant leap "Don't! It's too far!" cried Bella. But Bramwell managed to get himself onto the castle parlor balcony.
Everyone smiled as they felt relieved that Bramwell made it safely across. Suddenly a loud gun shot bang came from Arren's second Mars automatic pistol and Bramwell was shot in the back twice and collapsed. As he aimed for a third shot Arren took a step too far over the edge of the narrow castle bridge and fell to his death. Bella rushed to Bramwell's side as he lay dying "You came back," said Bella "Of course I came back. I couldn't let them...Oh this is all my fault. If only I could of gotten here sooner," said Bramwell "Don't talk like that. You'll be alright. We're together now and everything's going to be fine," said Bella. But thing weren't alright; she looked up and saw her friends, mother and father turned to dust. Then she herself started to turn to dust "At least I got to see you one last time," said Bramwell as he took his final deep breath and dies. "No! No! No! Please...please don't leave me. I love you," said Bella as she was turned to dust. Jasper was the only person there, kneeling and weeping over his son's lifeless body.
