From laughing out loud
To uttering words merely heard
under our breaths
To utter silence; but
'I love you,' he saysLike a book you've read
Perched on a desk
So much you want to say
About how you feel
But you can't say it; yet
'I love you,' he saysLike my back against snow
That's what your body
Feels like against mine-
So cold
It leaves goosebumps on my skin; yet
'I love you,' he says
