He watched as Heather, Alejandro, and Trent unmasked his loyal companion. Well, second loyal companion.
He growled, "Well, Jose, you'll be lucky if you say the right things."
"Sir?"
He turned, facing the browned haired man."Ah, Mal? I thought you were hunting down that girl. What was her name again?"
"Sierra, sir. We've found her and shot her. She almost escaped."
"And the other girl?"
Mal shook his head. "No sign of her on land. The other men can't find any signs of her on the cameras either."
He huffed. "If she escaped, we'll be in trouble. You do realize what'll happen to you if we're found out?"
Mal nodded. "And, Jose, sir?"
He turned back to the screen. "Jose knows well. Lies perfectly. Surely, he could use those skills with his own brother. But, if he doesn't follow his training, he'll be dead, along with his brother and his companions."
"Sir, I...if I may?"
He turned to Mal. "Yes?"
Mal coughed, putting his hands behind him. "You said to me, if I kill the Sierra girl, you'd let my wife go."
He gave a long, cold laugh. "Mal, Mal, Mal. It'll take more than this to save your pregnant wife."
"But, sir-"
His gaze turned cold, kicking the man to the ground. "You've failed me more than once! You're lucky I haven't killed your wife already!"
"Sir, please forgive me! I meant nothing to offend!"
"Oh, I know." He pressed a button and mumbled into it, barely audible.
Suddenly, a tall, redheaded man rushed in, a rifle in hand. "Sir?"
Mal looked back and forth between the two.
He shot a smirk at Mal, then turned to Scott. "Kill him."
"What! No! Zo-" Mal stopped as the bullet pierced his head. Then, the man was still.
Scott stepped back, mortified, yet satisfied at what he'd just done.
"Scott?" He turned back to the monitors. "Follow these children. And kill them. Except..."
He pointed two of them out. "Those two. Bring them here, they could be of use to me."
"Oh, uhm, sir?" Scott's voice was low, as if he was trying not to be heard. "One is already in custody. A girl. She was found alone in the woods, no weapons or anything to protect herself."
"Fine, then. Put her in a cell. Guard her as hard as you possibly can. But," He turned back to Scott. "Continue to find those two. Kill the rest, Jose too if he spills information."
He walked close to Scott, so close that his minty breath was inches away from his face. "Do you understand?"
Scott nodded. "Yes, sir."
Screaming started coming from the monitors.
"Ah," He let out a laugh.
"It's started."
