Sunday felt like a thousand years for Mew. It went so slow that he got bored before noon. After breakfast, he only rolled on his bed lazily while scrolling down his social media. Nothing was interesting enough to make him get out of his bed.Even he rejected his girlfriend's call just because he didn't feel like to talk to anyone right now. Anyone but Gulf. The Saturday he spent with Gulf felt like just became his recent favorite day. It felt fulfilling, as if the world wasn't dull anymore.
It would be convenient if he could call the other guy to ask him to hang out together again like yesterday. But he carelessly passed the chance to exchange phone numbers with Gulf. Mew thought for a while. His hand then began to type Gulf's name on the internet. Nothing came out other than the name he was enlisted on their university enrollment.
Mew sighed heavily. It was typical of Gulf to not having any social media, shutting the world out was his own comfort. It seemed that Gulf enjoyed being alone, thinking that maybe that's why the tanned guy wasn't affected by the fact that Mew wasn't around him anymore.
The pale guy sighed again thinking about that. It was apparent that his thought was the truth, after all the one who desprately chased after the other one was Mew. Gulf was just there, ignoring all his presence, and lately he even avoided Mew.
But fuck that. Gulf was now his friend again, so why should he felt sad from the unnecessary thought? It all happened in the past.
Mew then got up from his bed to leave his spacious bed room. As he walked to Gulf's house at the back yard, Mew was thinking hard whether it was a good idea to pop out of nowhere and knock on Gulf's door. Maybe Gulf was enjoying his time alone, and Mew was disrupting it.
But Mew wouldn't know if he didn't try. If Gulf rejected his invitation to hang out today, then Mew would just go back to his house and do nothing.
The house was small. Mew's room was even larger than the house Gulf lived in with his father. Mew remembered he had suggested Gulf to move in to the main house and lived with him there, but Gulf refused to do so. He said his home was the place where he could think of his mother.
Gulf loved his mother so much. He was so broken hearted when his mother passed away after the horrible accident. Mew witnessed how Gulf became quieter and more distant after his mother left.
But Mew tried his best to cheer the little Gulf up. He stayed by his side until Gulf was able to put his smile on his face again. However it didn't last that long since his own stupidity ruined the friendship he had with Gulf.
The pale guy sighed as he stood before the door. It had been years since he came here. It made him felt nostalgic.
He then brought his hand to knock on the door. Silence. He heard nothing from the inside. Could it be that Gulf go out? It was possible since it was Sunday, one could go out and enjoy his time.
"Gulf...?" Mew tried to call him this time after he knocked again. Still nothing. He turned around to go back to the main house when the door creaked open.
Mew looked back and was welcomed by Gulf's father instead of the son. "Sir. What brings you here?" Gulf's father bowed down to give him his respect.
Mew bowed slightly too, after all, Gulf's father was much older than him, and he was his friend's father before a gardener to him. So Mew didn't forget to show him his respect. "Uncle..." He mumbled.
"Is Gulf home?" Mew walked closer to have a peek inside the house. It hadn't changed at all, the furniture, the settings, all of them.
"Ah, my son isn't home. Maybe he's playing outside. He's been in his rebellion phase these days." Mr. Traipipattanapong said.
