Clarke Griffen:
"What?" I step down the last, metal bar of the ladder. "Are you insane?!? Talking to the grounders will not solve anything." Bellamy helps Ali sit up. Something burns in the pit of my core. Is it jealousy?
"Clarke you have to believe me!" Ali pleads, tears streaming down her cheeks. "The mountain men are capturing people who are prone to the radiation in the air. They can't step foot on the ground of the outside world unless their in hazard suites. They're taking men, woman, children, anyone that they can find who is immune." She pauses to catch her breathe. "It's a long story of how dad and I got down to earth, but if you could just grasp the fact, that you can see dad again, then maybe you can get it. Maybe you can understand all of this. But if we don't take this chance, the chance of meeting dad again is way out of reach." Bellamy seems to claw straight to my core, looking for any sign of light; of hope. I suddenly feel light headed and walk towards the entrance of the drop-ship to get some fresh air.
"Excuse me." I say plainly and walk out.
Bellamy Blake:I squeeze Ali's hand in reassurance before going to look Clarke. After about five minutes I find her in her tent, packing a bag.
"Where do you think your going?" I say, grabbing her arm, not allowing her to put an extra shirt in the bag. She turns to face me. The colors of the tent tarp, bounce off her skin as her eyes take in the sunlight.
"Somewhere I can never hurt anyone or hurt myself or be around-"
"Clarke, where are you going?" I still clench her arm.
"I don't know." She sprawls herself out on the cot, like a little kid. I decide that I should become one with her and sprawl myself next to her. We both look at the shadows of the tree limbs, dance on the top of the tent.
"Look princess, we may be crazy, we may have lost our minds and we may even have made a huge mistake, but when you die, how do you want to die?" She bites her lower lip and creases her brows.
"I would want to die, doing something for someone I love or something with someone I love." I turn my head and look at those magnificent eyes. She finally gets it. "Oh." she says quietly.
"We need you with us Clarke. I need you." She smiles, closes her eyes and sighs. She looks exactly like a little girl who is lost in her dreams. I guess that we all have a little kid in us somewhere.
"Okay. Let's go talk to some grounders and then kick some mountain men butt!" She latches her hand with mind and we intertwine our fingers. Individually, we are leaders. Together we are unstoppable.
