Bellamy Blake:
"Ovtavia?" I slowly walk towards her as a tear escapes my eye. My breaths are heavy yet unsteady. This can't be real! She died in my arms!
"Hey, are you okay?" Nicole grabs my shoulder. I shrug off her hand. Does she not see Octavia, standing right there?
"She's alive.." I say under my breath, but when I whip my head around to look at Octavia's precious face again, she's gone.
"What are you talking about? Bellamy, who's alive?!?" I run up to her, obviously paranoid. She looks so confused, it makes me burn with hatred. Did she not care enough that my sister died and just didn't realize that she was gone? Why didn't she see her? How could she miss her!
"My sister! My sister is alive! She was right there! How did you not know she was right there?!?" She backs away slowly. Has she gone mad? Or have I...
"Bellamy, I don't think that's possible. Are you okay? How long has it been since you've had water? Did you-"
"I've had water less than an hour ago, of course I'm fine! Get back to work! I have to go check in on Clarke." I storm off, leaving curious eyes following my path. This is all stupid, I can't even get my thoughts straight. Hopefully Clarke can help me sort them out. When I walk through the door of the drop-ship, I see that she is trying to sit up.
"Can I help you?" She says, as if I'm invading her privacy. I run over to help her sit up, making sure that the blanket covers every inch of her body. We had to rip her pants and make them into short shorts. Nicole removed her original, bloody shirt and put on a clean undershirt. In this freezing air, she couldn't survive but a couple of hours...
"You really shouldn't be sitting up."
"I know that. Remember, I'M the medical expert." I snicker and nod my head in agreement. "What is going on out there? People keep coming and telling me to control my...um...leader friend." She blushes. Clarke must be hiding something from me, but right now I just need to focus on the present.
"I saw Octavia." Her eyes widen, but then her hopeful expression becomes a disappointed one. Did she not care about Octavia either? I know she's got her own sister problems, with Ali playing us and all, but seriously?
"Bell, its a hallucination. It can happen when someone you love, very much, dies." She's right. That's why Nicole didn't see it. "It happened when my father died. Sometimes, I would see him in the kitchen, cooking or walking beside me to classes. After awhile it went away, and so did the suffering." He hand finds mine and they hook, becoming inseparable. "We will get through this together..." I grin at her, even though on the inside, I fight an internal battle. A battle I may never win.
"Well, that solves it then. I need to go and apologize to those cowards that I scared the crap out of." She laughs and I head towards the door but stop at the entrance. "And then we face the real issue."
"What issue?" She asks. I totally forgot that she doesn't know that her sister did this. It feels as if my heart has been crushed in my own hands.
"Ali."
