Clarke Griffen:

When I wake, I keep my eyes closed. Everyone is must still be asleep, because there is not a single peep. I inhale the sent of pine and sweat, the kind of smell that makes you fell protected and comfortable. I jerk up. Bellamy?!? Crud, I must have fallen asleep on his shoulder. When I look up at him, I find that he has been awake the hole time, smirking at me.

"Sorry, I didn't know that-" I begin but he stops me.

"Don't worry about it, princess." Is he serious? Is the Bellamy Blake being soft? "No girl can resist me." There it is. I just roll my eyes.

"Whatever." When I lean back, I notice that Charlotte, the girl I slept next to last night, was asleep in my lap.

"Looks like the princess has a shadow." He whispers as he leans in close. I carefully wipes a blonde curl behind her ear. Behind Bellamy's wall of a tough, rough looking guy, is a man as fragile as china glass. The second his eyes meet mine, my heart stops. "What?" He asks plainly.

"I'm so sorry that your sister died." When Octavia died, I felt so much sorrow and pain because she was my friend. But Bellamy is a different story. He was her brother, and that is pretty much the closest you can get to loving someone. He protected her and watched out for her. She was everything to him. His eyes water.

"I am too." I wipe a straying year from his cheek. He touches my hand before I can put it back down, forcing it to stay on his cheek. "But now I have to focus on protecting the others that I love. I have to focus on protecting you." I can feel my cheeks turn pink. He loves me? Maybe he doesn't mean loving me in that way. Maybe he thinks of me as more of a sister...

Bellamy Blake:

Her cheeks are a rosy color. I decide to break the moment, but before I do, I plant a kiss on her forehead and leave her with an astonished look. I slowly walk over to the drop-ship and pull on the lever. The door creeks as it goes down and touches the ground. That sweet smelling air filters in once more as people rouse and shift into awaking. A gust of cold air blows and wakes those who were not already awake They squint their eyes at the bright light reflecting off of a thin, white blanket of snow. I step onto the snow and listen to the delightful crunch of it underneath my feet. One by one, people exit the drop-ship and run around laughing. Charlotte skips around while Monty and Jasper create a fire. Just yesterday it was scorching hot. Is it really possible for there to be snow on the ground? My thoughts are interrupted when Clarke jumps onto the ground, the light reflecting off of her skin perfectly. Our gaze meet and she smiled. I thoughtfully smiled back, but the urge to greet her tugs at me. I know that I'm falling for the princess more and more everyday.
