Excerpt from The Storyteller - Her Voice

"There's no wind tonight my love
Only the soft flutter of a petal
 lends its whisper
to the mournful cry
 of a passing owl.

The moon is high tonight my love
It has no care for the day
Or the unassuming way
You toiled the land for the
promise of another meal

The leaves hang low tonight my love
Is that rain I scent on the air?
Will it bring a storm to wash away
the hours that sees you sleep so deeply?
I should have brought my hat.

The stars are few my love
It seems as if they too know that
the hour for rest is upon us, but all is well.
Lay your head upon my lap and
dare to dream of deserts

with no wind......."
