HARRY POV

The exchanges chattered and laughed on our way down to the dining hall, joking and pushing each other around. At one point, Percy shoved Jason so hard he almost fell over the railing of a staircase, but then it looked like the air pushed him back and balanced him. My brow furrowed in confusion until I noticed Annabeth shoving her wand back into her pocket, shaking her head exasperatedly.

"Seaweed Brain!" called Annabeth.

"Yes, love?" Percy's head whipped back from where he, Leo, and Jason were leading the group - Leo stuck out his foot to try and trip him, but Percy hopped nimbly over it and whacked Leo on the arm without even glancing back, leaving Leo looking resigned, mumbling something like "How does he keep doing that?"

"Please try not to kill your cousin before we get to breakfast," said the blonde, a sardonic smile crossing her face.

"You know as well as I do that I would never kill him," Percy said, grinning back as he somehow kept the same pace as the rest of us walking backwards down the stairs. "Maim, maybe... Seriously injure, probably... But kill? Nah, never."

Leo started flicking springs - from his seemingly infinite supply - at Percy's head now, trying to distract him from his backwards passage down the hall. Percy caught one right before it hit his face and flicked it back, saying, "Now, Leo... That's a different story."

"Percy, all these girls are staring at your butt. Turn around please," came Franks voice suddenly from where he stood just in front of me. Without realizing it, we had entered the Great Hall.

Percy turned around slowly, as if he were confronting a wild animal. He then whispered loudly out of the side of his mouth, "Should I do a flip or something...? If this is gonna be a show, they might as well get their money's worth..."

"How about this for a show," Annabeth said, striding forward and firmly siezing her boyfriend's collar.

Leo, seeing what was happening half a moment before it did, muttered, "Avert your eyes, children. Thing are about to get a little... PG-13, for a moment." Frank and Jason immediately absorbed themselves in a very animated conversation about wind currents' effects on bird flight, determinedly keeping their gaze on each other or the walls. Hazel and Piper rolled their eyes and made their way to the Gryffindor table - the beginnings of a blush creeping up Hazels neck - and Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and I decided it was best to follow them.

On the bright side, of course, this very uncomfortable episode had effectively removed the public eye from the exchange students - well, Percy and Annabeth at least.

"That took care of that," said Annabeth, dusting off her hands and sitting next to us at the table a minute or two later. She quickly readjusted her ponytail and then began to shovel eggs onto her plate, as unruffled as she always was. Percy was smirking broadly as he ran a hand through his hair and then speared a couple pancakes and dropped them on his plate with a whump, but other than that, he looked perfectly relaxed as well.

"Oh, thank the gods, they're done," said Frank, settling himself next to Hazel and across from Percy. Jason sat down next to Piper, who was across from Annabeth.

I could see many of the teachers at the head table looking at Percy and Annabeth with scandalized expressions on their faces, but McGonagall was just eating her breakfast with an added light of amusement in her eyes.

"Whaddaya say we try something like that tomorrow, Sparky? Get the Gryffindor girls off your trail," Piper grinned sideways at her boyfriend.

"What do you mean, 'off my trail'?" Jason asked, his face flushing, but otherwise confused. "Nobody's bothering me."
