Chapter 2 (long)

Michael's POV
I was driving all the way to see Wendy at her job because I wanted to talk to her about somethings and if she knew about me working for Susie for a while.
As I park the car and step out I sense a huge amount of power from one person. Could the be Harper? I thought but didn't worry much about it. It was 11am so I'm pretty sure she is here.
As I walk in the school, I walk to the front office to tell them I'm a visitor and get a sticker with my name on it.
After that I walked to the nurse office and see Wendy, I smile and knock.
"Come in" I hear her say and walk in
"Hey Wendy!" I say I was happy to see her after 3 years.
"Hey Michael, long time no see" Wendy smiled and gave me a hug.
"What's up, how was your day" she asked and sat down writing some things down.
"My day was great first but I came to tell you something" I say and she looked up at me.
"Did you hear that I'm going to be taking care of Harper for the year starting Tomorrow on Friday?" I say.
"Oh yes! I've heard Zackery told me, congrats. I hear you've been struggling to find a job that pays" she said and chuckled and I shake my head
"By the way...." I said
"Mm?" I sign
"I feel an intense amount of power. Is it Harper? And does she go to this school?" I say and Wendy smiled nodding her head.
"How is she?" I ask
"Beautiful" she sighs and looked down.
"What's wrong?" I ask
"She's been getting bullied" she said and I gasp.
"I fear if it keeps happening she will accidentally start an earthquake" Wendy said and I look up shocked.
"That... That was my vision Yesterday" I said and Wendy looked up shocked.
"Ow!" I say and hold my head and have another vision
"Oh no..." I say. I was Harper getting beat up.
"We have to get to Harper now!" I say and run with Wendy.
"Here" I point and see Harper standing, I can't really see her face but I see other girls. I use my sense of hearing and hear the conversation.
"Please leave me alone! What did I ever do to you?!" I hear her scream
"Oh you know what you did" some girl says and walks closer to her. I look up and see cameras so I use my power to turn them off.
"Wendy" I whispered and she tried to think of something.
"Stop!" I hear Harper cry and me and Wendy run towards her.
I snap my finger and the girls fall to the ground as i try to walk up.
"Wendy!" I yell but the earthquake already happened. I turn the cameras back on and the speaker to the whole school said to get to safety
"I'll take Harper you wake them up" I say and take Harper to the Nurse.
"Please....Stop" she mumbled
"Harper" I whispered.
"You have to stop" I rub her arm and heal the brushes. She took a breath and the earthquake slowly started to stop.
Wendy walks in and puts her hair in a high bun as she gets something.
"What is that?" I ask as Wendy holds a needle with liquid in it.
"It's something to help her relax and just breath, this happened only one time I didn't know it was going to get worse" Wendy says and put the needle on her arm and put a bandage on it.
I look at Harper who calmed down and there was that annoying speaker thing again.
"Okay everyone please get back to work the cost is clear, everyone get back to work the cost is clear." Some guy says and I look at Wendy.
"This is what I'm going to have to go through when I have to take care of her right?" I said and she nodded, I nod my head understanding.
Harper's POV
I wake up to someone rubbing my arm. And open my eyes. I look around and see Wendy.
"Wendy?" I ask them I felt a familiar power near me.
"Michael?" I said and sit up. I gasp and hug him.
"Hey Harper" Michael smiled and I smiled wider.
"But I thought I don't see you till tomorrow" I said.
"He came to visit me honey" Wendy says and I look around, seeing that I'm in the clinic.
"Oh my...why am I here?" I ask
"It's a long story" Michael says and I can't recall a single thing.
"I have to get to class, my teacher might be looking for me" I said and stood up fixing my cloths.
"Okay" Michael waved and I smiled and waved at both of them.
I head back to class and see my teacher with a worried look, what happened.
"Harper! My gosh are you okay?" Ms. Green says and everyone looks at me
"Yea I'm okay, what happened?" I said
"There was an earthquake" Hailey said and I sit down next to her.
"An earthquake?" I said and had a flash back before everything went dark. Crap it happened again.
After school
I walked home with Hailey because we wanted to do homework together and stopped in front of my house, Hailey has been here before so she knows where my room is. I didn't see my mom or dad so I supposed they were at work before they left for their business job
"Want a snack?" I said and opened the fridge.
"I will take a homemade sandwich" Hailey wiggles her eyes and I chuckled and made a homemade sandwich for both of us.
After I was done we went to my dance room and set up a table with two chairs.
"So which class are we doin first?" I said and took my computer and papers out.
"How about Language Arts sense it's the easiest class" Hailey said and I bob as she takes her computer out and starts typing in her password. I finish my homework in 5 minutes sense I used some of my powers to cheat and giggle as she was almost done.
"Your a fast typer you know?" I joked
"Yea I know. But you are faster" she said still typing.
"And...done." She said and submitted she work.
"Now it's Math and we are done" I said and took out my math papers.
"So, we have to to shopping next week" Hailey went straight to that. I laughed
"You know I don't shop like I used to anymore right?" I said
"But still your birthday is on Prom day!" She said
"Girl please, I don't want to go shopping when my birthday is 5 months away" I said and rolled my eyes writing down my math problems down as Hailey did the same.
"Okay, how about we just go shopping for small things that you need. Besides you did say you needed more cloths" Hailey said and she had a point.
"Okay next weekend on Saturday we can go shopping for some cloths but on my birthday we can get more okay?" I said and Hailey smiled wider than a dog and jumped up and down. I giggled and we both finished our homework.
After that we played around, Hailey called her parents to pick her up, and my mom arrived home, I accidentally read her mind and I can tell she was worried.
After Hailey said goodbye to me my mother looked at me with a worried look.
"I'm okay mom I promise." I said
"Okay sweets but how did it happen, Wendy didn't tell me all the details" my mom said and I fixed my hair walking to the kitchen.
"I don't remember all but I had a flash back of how it started, I couldn't control it." I said
"I was being kicked and punched until they fell to the ground and I was being picked up by someone." I said
"That someone was Michael, turns out he came by to talk with Wendy" I said and my mom smiled when Michael's name was mentioned.
"Your lucky that he is coming tomorrow, I didn't give him the time but he'll be here with you" my mom said and played with my hair, I love when she did that. She used to do it when I was a baby. I put my head on her lap and she giggled as I smiled and closed my eyes breathing in her motherly sent and fell asleep.
The next day
I was so excited for today because we get one week off because of spring and I get to see Michael again. I smiled and got ready for school.
After I was done I put on something comfortable and put my hair on a low bun. It was kinda hot out so I put on a dark blue ripped jeans and a black tank top with some Adidas:
