Today was a disaster, I made no friends and was threatened by what seemed to be a jock, who are apparently 'popular' here in California. I honestly do not understand the American social system. Once I get into the car my mum is already driving.

"Audrey! I had planned to go to someone's house for dinner and was going to give you time to get changed but since you took so long we have to go straight there." She says while we're driving. "The ladies house we are going to has a son in your grade so hopefully you two can get along." She says. Please be attractive, please be attractive I say to myself crossing my fingers the rest of the way. We start pull into the driveway of the house when I look up to see the most beautiful house I have ever seen. It's literally like a mansion! We hop out of the car and walk to the front door, I can smell something cooking from out here. It's smells great.

Mums long fingers press the button next to the door as a deep chime sounds throughout the house. I hear footsteps running around when suddenly the door swings open.
"Ahh, Carolyn come in!" A brunette lady ushers my mother in with a hug.
"And this must be Audrey!" She says pulling me into an equally tight embrace.
"It's so nice to finally meet you!" She smiles showing her extremely white teeth.
"I'll show you around the house!" She says. After having a tour of the massive house we take a seat in the dining room. My mum is chatting to the woman who I have still to learn the name of while I sit here daydreaming.
"Audrey honey, Janine said that Dallas will be here soon, so no need to fuss." My mum says breaking me from my daydream. Janine, her names Janine. I politely nod showing that I heard her before drifting back into my daydream. Dallas. Seems like a pretty attractive name. Touch wood. I say to my self before subtly touching the table.
"Dallas!" Janine yells from the table before running out of the room. This is the moment I see if he is attractive or not, Janine walks back in the room followed by Dallas. My face drops. Dammit. Nope. This cannot be happening. It's that stupid guy who threatened me at the library. He is attractive but he needs to take some anger management classes I didn't do anything wrong and he snapped at me. I stay silent.
"Dallas sweetie this is Carolyn and Audrey. Audrey here is in your grade at school, had her first day today." Janine smiles sweetly while talking to Dallas.
"You're the girl from the library?" He asks. Dammit, he recognised me. Of course he would I saw him like 2 hours ago.
"Yeah" I nod. Janine smiles at both of us.
"Lovely! You two have already met. You can watch some TV in the media room if you want." She smiles again, she's always smiling. I smile back and she shows me the way. Dallas declines but I'm fine watching by myself. I start watching dance moms. Gosh Abby lee you crack me up. I'm watching it for a while when Dallas walks in.
"My mum told me to tell you dinners ready." He says bluntly before walking out again. I follow down the massive corridor back to the dining room where I was seated before. 6 seats, 1 spot left and it just so happens to be next to Dallas.
"Audrey, this is Lucy, Dallas's younger sister and mark my husband, Lucy and Dallas's father." She says as I sit down. I say a quick hello, nice to meet you to mark and Lucy and start eating my meal. Halfway through the meal Dallas leans over and starts talking to me.
"Dance moms and Harry Potter? Not really a usual mix." He smirks.
"Well jocks and libraries don't usually mix either." I laugh but his face drops instantly.
"I told you to not tell anyone remember." He replies sternly.
"I was just joking relax, what's the big deal?" I ask.
"None of your business." he replies and just like that he's back to being angry. Dallas finishes off his meal quickly and goes back to doing whatever he was doing before. Lucy followed me back into the media room once I was finished eating and decided to watch dance moms with me. Once the episode finished Lucy wanted to show me her room. I followed her upstairs past a couple of doors and into her rooms. I found out that Lucy is 10 years old and loves pink. Typical. I watch her as she shows me all the dance moves she can think of. Fun I know. I excuse myself for a minute wondering down the hall to where I think the bathroom is. It's slightly open so I presume it is he bathroom. I open the door walking in when I see Dallas and a girl, doing, something. This is definitely not the bathroom. My mouth literally fell open as I start backing away.
"I'm so sorry, I was looking for the bathroom." I say.
"Next door over." He yells as I turn around closing the door. I stand there still taking in what just happened, that was quite disgusting, I defiantly did not want to see that. I turn and walk into the actual bathroom this time washing my face, what the hell did I just see. I walk out to see Dallas shirtless leaning against his door.
"Blondie!" He yells as I come out.
"Honestly I'm so sorry, I definitely didn't want to see that. I was trying to find the bathroom I swear." I plead. He stands there laughing.
"I'm not bothered, that chick though she's gonna be embarrassed at school." He laughs again. That chick? Who is she, she must not be his girlfriend if he just said that chick.
"Oh-uh who is she?" I ask. He's still laughing softly.
"Don't get jealous blondie, just some chick from school." Jealous? This time I laugh.
"Jealous?" I laugh, "why would I be jealous of a girl who has no respect for herself and sleeps with someone who can't even remember her name?" I spit back. Where are these words coming from? This is so fun. I've never talked like this to anyone.
"You're a feisty one aren't you?" He smirks and walks back into his room. I walk back to Lucy's room to find her asleep on her bed. I tuck her in and walk back down stairs. My mum and Janine are laughing and mark seems to be no where in sight. I sit down next to my mum when she faces me,
"Honey, I think I've had a bit too much to drink we might have to spend the night here and leave early to get you ready for school on time." She says. Dammit. Why here? With Dallas?
"Oh no Carolyn it's fine I'll get Dallas to take her to get her stuff now and you won't need to rush out in the morning!" Janine says smiling, mum nods her head in agreement.
"I'll just go get him!" She exclaims running up the stairs gesturing me behind her. Oh no. What if she walks in on him. She knocks on his door and opens it slightly to find him at his desk on his laptop.
"Hi, mom" he smiles. I look at him and for a second he looks innocent.
"Hi sweetie, is it alright if you drive Audrey home to grab some things for tomorrow they are staying here tonight!" She smiles, he nods grabbing his keys and wallet.
