PCs have a strange dream where they are imprisoned in a dank, foul cage. The
Skullthorn sisters spot their mother in the cell. Everyone awakens with marks on their wrists
from the manacles
Grok and Meredith visit over breakfast with the prince. The happy couple announce their
engagement and invite the party to their wedding in the Fall. Grok tells the PCs they will always
drink free. Grok gives the PCs a sinister letter to Hemmet from a “Lord Relgin” with ominous
commands about “this elven woman” that seem to refer to Kali. The letter was sealed with the
same emblem that the PC’s had found on the mysterious amulets. The prince requests that the
PCs meet up with an adventuring party that he has hired as bodyguards for Kali, “The Flashing
Blades.” Grok also invites the PCs back to the Inn for some travel rations.
At the Inn, the PC’s are introduced to the resident bard, Fariel, and a local group of famed
adventurers, The Verdant Company. The PCs got on well with the elven party, thanked Grok
and Meredith for the food, and left the city. A short distance outside of the city, the PC’s felt a
disturbing sensation of being watched, but saw nothing. As soon as they exited the region that
caused the sensation, they found the remains of The Flashing Blades. All had been killed but
Edvinus, who was brutally beaten, maimed, and his equipment was destroyed. A bloody eye
was carved into his chest with a claw. He was nearly catatonic, and the PCs escorted him back
to the city and escorted Kali north to her home.
