 Upon waking, found that half the party had vanished. Continued to the nearest city and 

were attacked by slimy, tentacled dire wolf creatures. One of them ate the Prince’s messenger 

pixie, but the PCs recovered his hand and royal signet ring. When killed, black mist evaporated 

from the dire wolves’ bodies. Killed a barghest. Arrived at the Eastern City, Illustariel. Turned 

in the prisoner, impressed the Lord High Chancellor, were invited to the Royal Feast with the 

royal family that eve for the Spring Equinox. Had baths, had a feast, went to the ball, saw a 

mysterious noblewoman.
