Zoe Finn
The day after I met Calum, Jaxson drove me the half hour it takes to meet his mysterious blonde boyfriend, Luke.
"Okay so I really like this guy and please don't fuck it up for me, Zoe." Jaxson said, turning off of the highway, into the suburban town called Crystal Pond.
"Me? Fuck it up?" I placed a hand over my heart in faux shock and let out a giggle, "I would never."
He gave me a look when we were stopped at a red light that had us in a fit of giggles. We continued to drive, music playing softly out of the radio. Jaxson's phone buzzed in the center council, "Oh hey check that for me will you?"
"'Jaxy," I started reading the text Luke sent to my best friend, "I'm at the cafe we met at, I also gave a hot chocolate with your name on it. Winky emoji.' What does he mean by gav- oh typo."
"Text back, okay and add a blue heart emoji." The brunette spoke.
I typed that and set the phone on the space between us, Jax spoke glancing at me slightly, "I'm really nervous for you to meet him."
I rolled my eyes, "Why?" I drawled out, The whole morning he had been fidgety, so I had already assumed he was nervous.
"You're my best friend," his hand came and gripped mine, squeezing slightly, "I don't want you to not like the guy in falling for."
"Please," I rolled my eyes, "If he makes you happy, I'm happy."
"Good." Jax pulled into a parking spot in the small town. We were in the heart of Crystal Pond, there was a small cafe called, "Brown Cafe", a bank, and several other shops.
Jax stood in the doorway to the faux-French cafe, I walked up and linked our arms together, we skipped into the shop, because that's how we roll son.
There were cute fairy lights around the shop, every chair was different and filled.
The walls were a deep, dark orangey color. Making the large shop seem, small and inviting.
Jax whispered, "Zoe, no fucking up." He nervously pulled my hand toward a table in the corner along the back wall. Seated there was a boy with broad shoulders and a tall quiff, his eyes were focused on the phone in front of him.
He must've heard us walk up because as soon as we were by the table he jumped up and wrapped his arms around Jax, who blushed and kissed him lightly.
The blonde saw me and gasped pulling me into a tight hug, "Oh my gosh I'm so happy to meet you Jaxy has told me so much about you and holy shit if I wasn't gay for your best friend, I'd totally bang you."
"Uh," I was surprised by this kid's enthusiasm, "Thanks?"
"Oh silly me," he formally held out one of his hands, "Nice to meet you I'm Luke Hemmings, no my name isn't Lucas, and yes I do really like Jaxson."
I shook his hand and sat opposite of him and Jax, "I'm Zoe Finn."
Luke handed by best friend his hot chocolate, and kissed his cheek. I mentally awed at how sweet he was.
"So," I asked to fill the awkward silence, "How did you two meet?"
"Oh well-" Jaxson started but was cut off by Luke groaning.
"Please don't tell her how we actually met. Its super embarrassing and cliché, just make something up." Luke covered up his reddening face with long fingers.
