Starfall opened her lids slowly having this weird---creepy feeling. Crickets were heard singing due to the silence of the night. No sound of someone or something aside from the crickets.
"I guess, everyone's asleep by this time," she said to herself before getting up from bed.
Usually at this time, she let herself produce some tears but something stopped her from doing her usual routine in the middle of the night.
The moonbeam of the moon passed through the windows of the room.
"Weird," she mumbled when she saw the windows. It was so evident that those windows have no tint from the outside, no curtains also from the inside.
The moon was shining at its brightest and the stars were also twinkling---why is she seeing this? Where is she?
She roamed her eyes around the room---is this her room? But why are there windows? What the---what happened? Why does her room suddenly got these windows?
She didn't remember allowing her mom in touching stuffs in her room. What the hell is happening?
Why do these windows bother her so much? What's with the windows? Why is it a big deal for her?
She suddenly felt thirst---she got out from bed and glared at the window before she walked towards the kitchen.
The lights from the room of her grandparents were on---she passed by it while she was on her way to the kitchen.
"What the, who's in there?"
The strong wind then suddenly kissed her skin that made her shiver.
She tried to get rid of the thought that someone was at her grandparent's room but she couldn't.
Was it her mom? Maybe she just missed her parents that's why she was in their room---maybe, that was it.
She was already holding a glass of water on her right hand when she heard some footsteps towards her---maybe, it was just her brother. Usually at this time, her brother's usually up talking to her girls. Yes, with 's'. So, she didn't bother to look who it was.
She was about to drink the water when the person spoke. Having this familiar voice that she hadn't heard for ages.
"So, now, you're already conscious, apo."
And that voice made her heart pound loudly, making her nervous. She felt her legs shake, about to fall down. Her grip at the fragile glass got lose that made it slip from her hand and there---a loud noise was heard.
The glass broke and pieces of it scattered around the floor and some hit her causing some cuts on her skin below but she didn't mind it even if those hurt her. The floor near where she was standing became wet because of the water but her attention was all on the owner of that voice.
Was she hallucinating?
Was she just hearing stuffs?
Why was she hearing and seeing stuffs?
