Chapter Two

Cheryl's POV
I woke up to the smell of pancakes, weird my mom usually doesn't make my breakfast because we never have time. I go down stairs to see Betty, Jughead, Kevin, and Toni cooking breakfast "Good morning, what are y'all doing here?" I ask picking up a note my mother wrote saying she had to leave earlier today and that they were just at the door when she was about to walk out, I giggle at that part "So why did y'all decide to cook breakfast at my house?" I ask "We wanted breakfast and you were not answering your phone so we came here" Kevin said "And I needed a ride to school" Toni laughed "Oh crap I'm not dressed or anything" I say running back up the stairs. I put on a pair of ripped jeans and a shirt, I wipe my face then put my glasses back on, I go back downstairs "Here" Betty said handing me my food "Thanks" I say starting to eat. This is delicious, I know Kevin didn't make these because he can't cook "Who made this" I asked with my mouth full "Toni and Jug" Betty told me "Wow it's really good" I tell them and they smile "Is anyone coming to my basketball game today?" Toni asks looking at me "Not into sports" Kevin says "I'll be there" Jughead says "No" I say "What!! Only Jug wants to support me?!" Toni asks "I'm offended" She says putting her hand on her chest. She looks around and no one is doing anything "Come on. Can y'all please come!? It would mean a lot to me" Toni says "Fine only if Cheryl and Betty go too" Kevin says "Okay" Betty agrees "I guess I'll go too" I say and Toni smiles "Yes!! Okay we should be heading out now" Toni says, I go brush my teeth, grab my bag and get in my car. Kevin is riding with Jughead and the girls are with me.

I park in my usual parking space and Jughead parks beside me "Hey red you were speeding the whole way here" Jughead said "I was not" I tell him "Was I?" I ask the girls "Maybe just a little" Betty laughs "Well we survived so it's fine" I smile getting out the car "Can you open the door Cher. It's on child lock" Toni says, I smile at the nickname and open the door "Thank you" she smiles. We get strange looks from people since no one has ever really seen me and my friends other then Jughead talk to Toni "Whats up" Toni says "Hey T. Ready to beat the bear's asses tonight" Veronica says excitedly "You know it" Toni calls out "See you in practice" Veronica says before walking away "I thought you had a game?" I say "We have practice before the game" Toni says "Oh I need to put my jersey on" The shorter girl says taking it out her basketball bag. Toni takes off her shirt and some of her teammates start whistling but she flicks them off and laughs, she puts on her jersey "Like it" she asks spinning for everyone to see "We see it everyday" Betty laughs "Hey!! I only wear it on game days" Toni says "Which seems like everyday" Kevin adds "True" I agree "I have to go but I'll see y'all in science then at my game" she says smiling and doing a little silly dance which makes me smile "What the hell was that?" Jughead laughs "My dance" Toni tells him hitting his stomach and running off.
"What's up with you and Toni?" Jughead asks me "What do you mean?" I ask "Y'all do this thing where you two just stare at each other until someone breaks it up" Jughead says "Yea it gets weird after a while" Betty adds "We don't do that" I say defending myself "It's okay if you like her" Kevin says "You just want a lesbian romance to play with" I say and he shrugs "It would be nice" he teases and I push him "Cars" Betty says grabbing the boy and putting him on the other side of me "You know these people can't drive" She says and we laugh.

The day went by pretty fast. Lunch was fun, Toni and Veronica came and sat with us, Veronica is nice. We're in science right now and I'm watching Toni chew on her pencil "Staring problem?" A jock comes up to me, Toni instantly lifts her head up "What do you want?" Toni says aggressively "Calm down there shorty. Just wanted to wish you luck on your game today since I have to leave in a few minutes for my football game" he says "Okay thanks" she mumbles "Are you going red?" He asks me "Uh yea?" I say not knowing why he asked "Good they could use your head as a basketball or you could clean their shoes for them" he smirks and his friend laugh "Fuck off" Toni defends me "Toni watch the language" the teacher says "Go away before we both can't play in our games today" she warns standing up, she might be a lot shorter then him but he looks scared "Fine see ya baby" he says leaving the room with his friends to get ready for their away game. "Thank you" I say "No problem...why aren't Betty and Kevin sitting with us anymore?" Toni asks "What?" I look at their seats and they're not there. I was too busy looking Toni I didn't realise my friends left, they walk back into the classroom with books in their hands, they set them down on the teachers desk and sit back down in front of us "Where did y'all go?" I ask "Well while Toni was working" Betty starts "And you were staring at Toni working" Kevin adds "We went to the library for the books for the class as the teacher asked us to do" Betty finishes, I start blushing and Toni smirks "That's why he said staring problem" Toni laughs and I look down blushing "Basketball players may now be dismissed" the announcements said "See y'all at my game" Toni smiles grabbing her stuff "I better see all of you" she says before being dragged out by Peaches and her other teammates that were in our class. We could hear the players yelling in the hall hyping each other up, they were chanting everyone's name three times each and I smiled hearing Toni's name. "Yea you definitely don't have a crush" Kevin says sarcastically "Shh" I say going back to my work.
