Walking in the Wind

The wedding was small, immediate family only and of course, the boys. It was September 28th, 2013. The small city hall was filled with our loved ones, all dressed nicely for the occasion. Both boys were nervous wrecks. This was something planned last minute, they knew they had to be super secretive about it. They couldn't let management know, they couldn't care less about the consequences after the deed was done.

Harry got ready in a room down the hall, his sister Gemma doing his hair. He was dressed in a black suit, white dress shirt and a black tie. Very simple, and yet he looked stunning. His hands were shaking and his breathing was faster than normal. "Relax H, everything is gonna be okay. You are marrying the love of your life." Gemma reassures her younger brother while finishing up his hair. "I know, I'm just nervous I'm gonna trip walking down the ail or mess up the vows." Gemma moves to the table and grabs Harry's pink nail polish, "c'mon Harry, let's paint these nails, Lou is gonna love it. Trust me, all your nerves will disappear as soon as you see Louis at the end of the ail." Harry blushes and nodded before laying his hands out.

Louis was just as nervous, his mother helping him get ready in the room across the hall. He wore a black suit with a black dress shirt. The jacket was tailored at his waist, showing off the man's slightly feminine figure. His mother had been giddy all morning, hopeful that some of her energy would rub off on her son. She was beyond excited that her son, her eldest child was getting married. When she was done lint rolling Louis' suit she looked at his appearance one last time. "You look so handsome boobear. Harry is so lucky, YOU are so lucky" Louis blushes at his mother's words. She gives him a kiss on the cheek before exiting the room to join the rest of her family.

Louis walked out of his dressing room and walked hastily down the ail to join the minister at the front. He shook hands with the man in the white robe and gave him a nervous smile. It was then when the cliché bridal music began to play and Louis saw the love of his life being escorted down the ail by his future mother-in-law.

He immediately began to tear up, Harry looked so handsome. Harry thought the same, he saw Louis' hands physically shake and was happy he was as nervous as him. As cliché as it sounds, time seemed to stop when the pair locked eyes. Louis cried first, then Harry followed, not caring if it was embarrassing. Anne kissed both boys on their cheeks before taking her seat in the first row next to her daughter.

The minister started to speak, both boys unsure of the words he was saying. They were studying each other, clinging onto every detail to remember everything about this day. Louis noticed Harry's nails were painted a shade of baby pink and squeezed his hands a little tighter. Painted nails really did make him more beautiful.

"The boys have prepared some vows, Louis?" The minister motioned towards the older lad. Louis reluctantly let go of Harry's hands and pulled the piece of paper out of his pocket, hands trembling. "I guess first and foremost I'd like to thank everyone for coming today. It means a lot to Harry and I that we got to share this special day with the people that mean most to us. Harry, when we were put in the band together, I thought I knew everything about the world, but you have taught me more than anyone else in the world. You taught me how to be confident and comfortable in my own skin, how to carry myself through the world. You have taught me kindness, patience, and to never give up on something I believe in. I love you with everything I have, thank you for being my rock, my lover, and most importantly my best friend."

It was now Harry's turn, he wasn't sure how he was going to top Louis' beautiful vows. He always did have a way with words. "I've always thought the world worked in mysterious ways. My theory was confirmed when the universe brought me to Louis, multiple times. We first were introduced on a holiday, then met again at a Battle of the Band competition, where yes, we did make out in the bathroom." Everyone in the room chucked. "And now here we are, in a band together, traveling the world together, performing together, living together. You have been the rock for the past 3 years. I couldn't have gotten through any of this without you. I love you Louis, it's always been you."

The two men exchanged rings, both very simple, thick silver bands. Something they could wear when they were alone but also not lose when they couldn't wear them. "By the power invested in me by United National Ministry, I now pronounce you husband and husband." Louis looked eagerly at the minister, pleading with his eyes if it was time to kiss. The man nodded with a smile and Louis did not waste anymore time. Grabbing Harry's cheeks and bringing him in for a hard kiss, Harry's hands instinctively went to Louis' waist. The kiss was passionate, both boys were physically shaking from the nerves and excitement. Once breaking apart they faced their family and loved ones, all cheering for the pair.

The boys end the night just the two of them. They head back to their home, where Harry cooks them a very nice dinner. He lights candles on the table to set the mood. The table is littered with delicious food: mashed potatoes, green beans, grilled chicken, and dinner rolls. After dinner they have some wine and sit by the fireplace. They undress from their suits and dress in comfier clothes as they laid tangled on the couch.

They soon grow slightly impatient and want to speed the night along, knowing how it'll end. They've had sex countless times, this time was different of course. They took their time, worshipping every part of each other. The night was filled with the exchange of kisses, soft touches, quiet whispers, and the promise to love each other forever.

In their final moments before sleep overtakes them, Louis has his head laid on the younger lad's chest, listening to his heart beat as it still is coming down from his high. A few more soft kisses are shared to any inch of skin each boy can reach on the other. "Sleep Lou" Harry whispered against his husband's fringe. His husband, he'll never get tired of that. "Goodnight Hazza, Love you" Louis mumbles, sleep slowly invading his thoughts. "I love you boobear, forever."
