Yahaba couldn't keep his promise. He has to at least tell someone about your condition, and who might that someone may be? Oikawa Tooru

You thought Oikawa would spread the news to everyone in the team but no, he was very respectful of your 'illness'

"Y/n-chan, how are you feeling?" Oikawa went up to you, towel on his shoulder

"It's been bad lately. I started coughing up petals
two days ago and it's getting worse since then. I'm scared to look up whichever disease this is" You reply to him, handing him a water bottle

Oikawa takes the bottle from your hand. Suddenly stopping to look at you

"Petals?"

Iwaizumi who was taking a break glances at you and Oikawa. Feeling a bit of a burn inside of him. Was he jealous? Who knows?

"Oi, Iwaizumi" Hanamaki calls the said male, making him snap back to his senses.

He turns to his fellow 3rd year who was pointing at a girl, standing at the gym door

She definitely doesn't look like a student from Aoba Johsai. More like a college student

"Someone's here for you" Hanamaki says, still pointing at the door

"Hajime-kun~!" Her voice rang through the entire gym, gathering everyone's attention. Including Oikawa's fangirls who were there to just watch

"Who—" Coach Sadayuki was just about to ask who this girl was but soon cut off by Iwaizumi who already was holding his bag

He bows to his coach

"We'll be heading home! Sorry for distracting" Was he said

Iwaizumi turns to the girl, immediately grabs her hand and drags her away from everybody

Coach just scratches his head in confusion

"W-well I guess it's time for you guys to also pack up. Lets continue this tomorrow" He commands the remaining players in the gym, that also applies to you

"We'll be going! Thank you for cleaning after us!"

Some decided to stay longer and help clean up while the rest already went home

While lowering the net Kyoutani walks up to you and asks you a question

"Y/n, do you know who that was?" You look up at Kyoutani

"O-oi Kyoutani, I think we should clean first" Yahaba puts a hand on Kyoutani's shoulder

There was it again. A pit was stuck in you. Where was it? In your throat? lungs? stomach? You didn't know.

All you knew was you couldn't breathe, you wanted to pass out, you wanted him to hold you. You were surrounded by darkness

Suddenly you felt hands rest on your shoulder. The darkness all disappearing

'Iwaizumi-san?'

"Let's all talk about it tomorrow, it's getting pretty late right Kyou-chan?"

'Oh, Oikawa-san'

He gives you a reassuring smile and a thumbs-up

Oikawa decided to walk you home since he was worried. You told him that you'd be fine but he didn't believed it

"I'm guessing that was his girlfriend?" Oikawa glances at you

You shrugged like you didn't know what he was talking about

There was a minute of silence before you started crying, which startled Oikawa

"Y/n-chan.." Oikawa wanted to hold you, he wanted to treat you better than Iwaizumi has treated you

You couldn't hold it, you collapsed into Oikawa's chest. You cried harder than ever.

Sure it made it harder for you to breathe but it kept you warm and comforted

You kept whimpering "I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I—"

Oikawa lifts up your face

"L/n! You did nothing wrong! Stop saying you're sorry" Still cupping your face, he also started crying

"Oikawa-san, why are you crying?" Tears still running down your cheeks

He doesn't respond

Few seconds of crying he finally speaks

"Y/n, L/n please let me treat you better!"
