A blonde and a brunette stood in Lorelai's kitchen. Ellouise watched Rory rearrange her bag multiple times in an attempt to fit all her books in. A smirk appeared on her face as she took a bite of her pop tart when Rory huffed. "Agh," Lorelai groaned as she walked into the house.

"What?" Rory asked her mother, recognizing the frustrated grumble.

"The car won't start," she sighed as she passed Ellouise and took a bite of her pop tart without even asking.

"Hey!" Ellie screeched as she took another bite in spite.

"What happened?" Rory asked her mother, bringing the conversation back to the car.

Exhaling, Lorelai shook her head, "I don't know. It's just dead. I turned the key and it makes a horrible sound.

"What kind of sound?"

"Like rrar, rrar, rrar. You know?" Lorelai made a fool of herself as she tried to recreate the noise.

"But less feminine," Ellouise added with a grin.

"That's the battery," Rory told her mother as she pulled out her books, ready for her second attempt at fitting them into her huge bag.

"Well, what did I ever do to make the battery mad?" Lorelai asked as she furrowed her brows at her daughter.

"You've kept the radio on all night, killing the battery," Rory began to list.

"You've kept the lights on all night, killing the battery," Ellouise joined in.

"You've kept the door open, which keeps the ceiling light on, all night, killing the battery."

Scoffing, Lorelai looked between the two girls. "Okay, well then I've done multiple things to make the battery mad."

"You gonna walk?" Ellie asked as she stuffed the last big bite of her breakfast into her mouth.

"I'm wearing heels," she stated as though it was deadly obvious.

"Change your shoes?" El suggested, curious about her reaction.

"I'd have to change my outfit."

"Change your outfit then," her daughter sighed as she groaned from her books not fitting.

"I'd have to walk upstairs."

Rolling her eyes, Ellie smirked, "Suddenly we're living with Zsa Zsa Gabor."

"I'm gonna call Michel," she groaned as she grabbed the phone off the side.

"This thing is too small," Rory muttered in rage from multiple failed attempts at fitting all her books in her square, orange bag.

Michel answered the phone but Lorelai needed to correct Rory, "Hold on Michel. That backpack is not too small."

"It's minuscule," her daughter grumbled.

"Just take your schoolbooks and leave some other books," Lorelai advised.

"I need all my other books," Rory furrowed her brows at her mother.

Shaking her head, Lorelai sighed, "You don't need all these. Edna St. Vincent Millay?"

"That's my bus book."

Rolling her eyes, Ellouise slung her satchel over her shoulder and walked past the two with The Bell Jar in her hands. "Rory, you have a problem. Just use one book. And speaking of, I'm going to go read mine on the bus," Ellie chuckled at the addiction she had to books.

As she passed Lorelai, her aunt pulled her into a half hug and kissed her on the forehead. "If Rory falls backward from the weight, please help her," Lorelai smirked, prompting a giggle from El.
