I soon woke up to the sound of knocking on the bedroom door.

"Morning Rider." Morning?, I didn't realize how long I was asleep for. "Hope you're doing better, I fixed you up while you were asleep."

I look at my leg and my shoulder to see them bandaged. "Thank you." That was actually genuine but I don't think he knew that.

"You're welcome, now it is a brand new day which means it's time to go."

He walks up to the bedside and reaches his hand out. I'm hesitant to take it since I really don't want to get hurt today.

"Rider, you're going to eat breakfast first and then we're going to talk about today, okay?"

I simply nodded. I still remember the look he gave me when I yelled yesterday, I'll never forget it.

We went to his kitchen and he helped me sit down at the table. He then proceeded to make breakfast as if I was a guest in his house. I looked outside and realized there were people outside. My eyes widened and a smile began to creep on my face.

"RIDER!" I flinched and stared at Nick in terror. "I swear if you even think about trying to leave right now I will slice off one of your fingers. Do you understand?"

I nodded quickly. He then turned back to the eggs he was making. Well so much for that idea, it's not like I could actually do it with my leg the way it is. I went to scratch my shoulder not remembering that it was the one that was shot. "Sssp... ow." I whispered in pain hoping he didn't hear me.

I look up to see him handing me a plate. It had eggs, bacon, and toast on it. "Thanks Nick." Right before I was going to take a bite, Nick stabbed his knife into the table. I froze in place and slowly looked at him. I just stare at him not knowing what to do or if I should even say anything. He stares back at me for a couple seconds then proceeds to eat his food like nothing happened. "Can I speak?" He looked up at me and then back down at his plate.

"Sure, go ahead."

"Can I have some water?" He gets up walks to the cabinet and gets a cup. He walks over to me very slowly and stops in front of me. He then smashes the glass cup on the table, I flinched. He brings up a big glass shard and quickly puts it against my throat.

"You still want some water?" I shake my head no. "Well good because I want to start right now."

Before I could ask he grabs me by my shirt and starts bringing me to the basement door. I really didn't want to go back, everything was great up here, I don't want to get hurt again.

"Ni-Nick wait can I talk?" He stops in his tracks as he turns to look at me. His eyes were just like they were yesterday, crazed and cold.

"You better make it quick, I'm loosing my patience."

I take a deep breath to control the tears I didn't notice were flowing. "I really, and I mean really don't want to go down there. I just don't want to get hurt, pl-please just don't hurt me... why can't you just let me go, I've learned my lesson and I won't bother you ever again...I just want to go home". He loosens his grip on me, I look up to see his eyes are back to normal, only somehow they were a little sad.

"Kid, why don't you go back to the room, I need to do something real quick."

I simply nodded and limped to the room I was in before. Is he thinking about letting me go I wondered. I laid back on the bed as my head filled with questions that had no answers. I hadn't realized but I completely zoned out and I hadn't known how long for. I sat up on the bed and decided to check on my leg. It still hurts and I haven't gotten any pain medication so I feel like I'm dying. My shoulder isn't as bad but still sore and I can barely move it.

Knock knock. I looked up at the door to see Nick leaning on it.

"Hey how are you doing?" I nodded. "Do you want to know something? It's about your parents."

I had this expression on my face that was filled with happiness yet fearful at the same time.

"While you were asleep, I took the liberty of going to your house and having some coffee with them. They were really sweet people, I can see why you're so polite."

My eyes widened when he said "were", what did he mean?

"The thing I wanted to say was that...", he looked at me.

"You k-killed them...didn't you...".

"Yes... sorry but the only way I could stop you from thinking about home was if you didn't have one."

My heart skipped a beat, I didn't even know how to process it. I just cried, but with a straight face, I think I broke. He walked over and sat next to me while trying to put his arm around me. Forgetting where I was and who I was with I shoved his arm away, got up and walked to the kitchen. We didn't see each other the rest of the day.

Well hello there, that was out of the blue. Can you tell how not well thought out this story is yet. I didn't even know I was going to kill his parents, correction, Nicholas killed them. Maybe I'll revise the story later but I'm too lazy to fix it right now.
