Polyplax had let the other HiveWings go. He couldn't mourn when others were around, just not possible. He solemnly flew to Canopy's nest. "You," Canopy started. "Where's Honeycomb? And what happened to Hibiscus?" Oh no! Honeycomb is still at the palace! He spun around and ran back to the palace. He couldn't come report to Canopy with nothing! He reached the border and knocked into a HiveWing. "Hey, watch it!" the brawny HiveWing snarled.

Polyplax looked around and saw hundreds of HiveWings surrounding the Poison Jungle, with Wasp at the front.

She looked blankly at Polyplax. Unexpectedly she said, "Polyplax, come help us fight the LeafWings." Polyplax shook his head. He flew toward the hives completely ignoring the HiveWings swarmed around the Poison Jungle. "Boxelder, Termite, Dragonfly," He heard Wasp behind him. "Fetch me that dragon." Polyplax sped up. Boxelder was bigger and brawnier than him, and was gaining.

He gave a soundless yelp, and quickly scanned for a place to hide. I can't outfly them, but I can hide. As if the universe loved him, a small sinkhole appeared in front of him, small enough to squeeze his nimble body through. Breaching the sinkhole, he scrambled inside, his tail just slipping in before Boxelder and the others came. They were all too big.

Panting, he waited for them to leave. "Should we leave him?" He heard Termite ask, his cold voice echoing in the sinkhole. "Hmm. We should go back, then send a guard to watch the sinkhole." Polyplax remember how stupid HiveWing guards were. He could simply just run when they left. He waited until he was almost sure no one was there. He flew out but right when he reached the outside a net fell over him. He saw the guards pinning the net down.

"Hahaha!" Boxelder boomed. "I bet that he thought we were stupid!"

You are... Polyplax smirked, making sure that no one saw his grin. He held out his talons in defeat. The guards grinned, taking a rope to tie his talons. As they neared, he shot flamesilk in their eyes.
"EEEK!!" Boxelder screamed in a high pitch. "MY EYES!!" All the others were screeching about their eyes, now blind from the hot silk.

Who's the stupid one now? Polyplax smirked once more and started to run to the palace.

As he neared the palace, his stomach dropped. The embers of the fire still remained, along with her body. Hibiscus. He ran over to where he left her, searching for her.

Her body was gone.

Polyplax started to cry. Where was she? Did the HiveWings find her body and took it somewhere? Then, a quiet voice in his head said, maybe she's alive..? He shook his head. Hibiscus was dead. She had no pulse, no heartbeat. How could she possibly be alive?

Yet he saw something by where the body should be. Spit and a little bit of blood, like someone was coughing harshly. Coughing out smoke. And the best news, it was only a couple hours old. Polyplax had a feeling that the chance of her being alive was now a little bit higher.

It could be another survivor of the fire? A voice said in his head. No, there is literally no one else that was here AND would cough out that. It HAS to be her.

Polyplax glanced at the palace. Should I try to save Hibiscus or Honeycomb?

You know that Honeycomb is alive... The voice said. Hibiscus has only a slight chance. Go for Honeycomb.

Don't listen to it. Another boomed. You love Hibiscus more than Honeycomb, and you wouldn't be in this situation if that HiveWing SilkWing hybrid wasn't there.

Ok that's it. You two shut up. Polyplax listened to the two arguing voices die down. I will save both, or something. But first, I need to save Honeycomb.
