Hibiscus was close to the outskirts when she saw the swarm. All the HiveWing soldiers and guards were parked in front, most likely unaware of the dragon. She veered off to the coast, circling her way back to the village.

Entering through the dense jungle, she found her way to her village. Entering, she collapsed in, panting for breath. She has been flying for hours straight. Looking up, she realized this wasn't her village.

A pale green LeafWing with white on her underbelly looked at her, surprised.

"W-who are you?" She asked, her voice soft yet nervous. Hibiscus could tell she was extremely shy. "I'm Hibiscus..." the hybrid said slowly, seeing if the dragon was a threat. The new dragon's eyes widened.

"Hibiscus..? Quick question, do you know Sundew?" She asked.

"Yeah, actually. I do." Now the hybrid was confused. "Who are you?"

"Oh... how rude of me." The dragon whispered, but loud enough so Hibiscus could still hear her. "I'm Willow."

"...Willow..?" Hibiscus muttered. Willow was about to say something when a wise voice called out. "Willow? Who are you chatting with?" Looking up, Hibiscus's eyes widened. She bowed in respect, soon saying, "Queen Sequoia!"

"Yes...who may you be?" The old queen asked.

"I'm Hibiscus, a fellow dragon in the village of Achiote and Lupana."

"Oh, you're from there. Yet, what brings you here?" The queen asked.

"HiveWings. Armies are lined up by the outskirts, we need to chase them back. Wasp is there too, leading them." Hibiscus explained. "I was on my way to my village but got off track from them, and was led here."

Queen Sequoia's brows lifted in bewilderment, then disbelief. "There's no way that Wasp should be out there. She thought that we LeafWings were by far dead."

"You may see for yourself if you don't believe me." Hibiscus saw that Willow's face was drained of color, her eyes dilated. "Help me get to my village, so we can plan an attack. Please."

Sequoia's eyes were cold, staring off into the distance. "I cannot help you. I am much too old. And I don't want to risk my village." She looked at Willow. "Go home, Willow. I'll escort Hibiscus home."

Her head in defeat, Hibiscus used her leafspeak to open the opening to the village again. Sequoia didn't look surprised. "You have leafspeak?"

"Yeah, at least half of my village has it." Hibiscus answered politely.

"Hm, this could work." Sequoia said, a small smile on her face. "How about this. All my dragons will come fight with you, but if we lose--"

"Sorry to interrupt, but shouldn't you be telling this to my leaders?" Hibiscus cut in, an apologetic look on her face.

"It's quite alright... yet I'm not used to being interrupted." The queen said, starting to walk to Hibiscus's village. "How old are you?" Sequoia tried to make small talk.

"Nearly seven."

"Parents?"

"Honeycomb and Canopy--"

"Canopy?!" Queen Sequoia cut her off, her walking halted. "Canopy is your father?"

"Yes...why?"

"Canopy was a good friend of mine, we were basically siblings. But a decade ago, he disappeared..." Sequoia said, a soft look on her face. "I think it's time to visit an old friend."
