The train began moving, and everyone was finally departing away from Hogwarts for summer break.

Thank god, she thought, taking her seat inside of the train carriage with her friends. Thank god it's finally the end of term.
It had actually led up to be a pretty decent school year. After her encounter with Malfoy earlier in the year, he seemed to have eased off and directed his attention to his little leech mini-me Pansy Parkinson. Pansy had always been just as bad as Draco in her eyes, and Juniper couldn't think of a pair that deserved each other more than they did.
Currently, she sat besides her friend Clara and faced towards Theo and his new friend. Juniper had never met Theo's friend before, after all he was a year ahead of them and in Hufflepuff.
The brunette witch leaned forward and stuck out her small hand, smiling politely at the older boy with pretty, bright grey eyes. It's funny, he had the same eyes as Malfoy, but his radiated nothing but friendliness.
"Hi I'm Juniper, I'm Theo and Clara's friend. We haven't met yet, but it's nice to meet you." The handsome Hufflepuff took her hand in his and shook it, returning her smile with added warmth.
"Cedric Diggory. It's nice to meet you, Juniper. Lovely American accent," he paused, genuinely giving her a compliment. "Is it real, or are you just really good at pretending?"
Juniper and Clara laughed, while Theo flashed Cedric a somewhat, almost undetectable weird look and forced himself in with the laughter as well. Cedric hadn't noticed the face Theo had made, and neither had Juniper.
"Oh, it's definitely real. I moved to London from America when I was ten." She removed the hair tie from her wrist and began threading her fingers through her dark hair, putting it up into a ponytail to get it out of her face. "Yup, all these years here already and I still have that good ol' American twang. Hoping one day I wake up and sound as posh as you all do."
She looked around the carriage, giving her friends a teasing smile. Cedric laughed at this, and began to open his mouth when Clara jumped quickly into the conversation, changing the subject. She didn't want the attention sitting too long on her American friend.
"So, Cedric, I remember watching your last quidditch game. You know, vs Ravenclaw. It was so amazing watching you recover the golden snitch, I can't imagine how hard it must be to play seeker." Cedric took his eyes off of Juniper's moments after the eager blonde witch finished speaking. "Thank you, and yeah you know it can be hard work, but that's what makes it fun."
At this, Juniper couldn't help but roll her eyes playfully and shake her head. "You sacrifice so much for your house and team."
Cedric let out a charming laugh and a shrug. "Well you see, I try to do what I can, June."
The train began moving, and everyone was fully departing away from Hogwarts for summer break. Clara continued to lather Cedric in compliments and make meaningless conversation, but Juniper couldn't help but notice how his welcoming eyes kept meeting hers.
This summer was going to be good, and she was thankful for school to be finished.
The train had come to a stop, and it's passengers were starting to depart. Juniper wished her friends a happy summer and promised to write. While searching for her parents, she was approached by Cedric Diggory and asked if it would be alright if he sent her an owl too. Her eyes met Draco Malfoy's from across the way, and she watched him reunite with his tight-lipped parents, while he stared at her current interaction with Diggory. It was strange to her that he had already been looking before she had noticed him.
Focusing her attention back on Cedric who stood waiting in front of her, she expressed how she will be happy to receive an owl, and that she can't wait to hear from him this summer.
It was definitely going to be a great summer, she thought confidently in her head while approaching her loving, yet somewhat lost-seeming parents.
However, she was already looking forward to returning to school next year.
