Alvard: Are you sure?

Evelynn: Do you think I would joke about this?

Clarissa: Who could have stolen it?

Evelynn: I ... I don't know. Who would steal a book? It doesn't even look any spec-

Evelynn is shocked and looks in all directions

Alvard: Eve?

Evelynn: Can you hear that?

Clarissa: Hear what?

Evelynn: This ... sound

Evelynn walks away.

Alvard: Evelynn? Where are you going?

While he's talking, Clarissa walks off

Alvard: Hmpf

He follows them

The three are now running through a hallway.

They are now on the roof. Evelynn, Clarissa and Alvard walk across the screen and then stop themselves, looking shocked. You can see their expressions close up, shortly before it reveals Alexa. She's holding the book in her hand.

Evelynn: Alexa?

Alexa: Finally. Took you long enough to get here. I wasn't even sure you had noticed the book was missing.

Evelynn: Alexa, please give me the book. You don't know how important it is to me.

Alexa: How important it is to you? I'm quite aware of that.

Evelynn: Alexa, please. I don't know why you took it, just please give it back.

Alexa: I don't know why you took it either. To destroy lives?

Evelynn: Excuse me??

Alexa: Let me tell you a little story.

I grew up in a loving family. My parents had their own business and worked from home most of the time. They loved me with all their heart and always gave their best. When I was 17 my parents wanted to open a new office on the other side of the country. So we moved here. But when I had my first school day, everything changed. My entire life fell apart. Everything started feeling strange. I got these weird flashbacks of a whole new family. When I got home from school, my parents were gone. It turned out I was living with my aunt. Until that day I didn't even know I had an aunt. I started to jump from emotion to emotion. My mind wasn't working correctly, because something ... or someone had messed with my past. I called my grandfather. He was the only family I had left. During our conversation he started to cry. He then told me it was all his fault. He said something about a place called the Library and how it functioned. My grandfather told me all about authors and their books. The magic and power of imagination. When he was young, he was an author himself. But he left the Library because ... he saw flaws in their methods. He criticised them until there was no other choice but to leave.

Evelynn: But how-

Alexa: How did she look through the magic of the book? How does she not fall for the new backstory? How did her grandfather flee from the Library? How does she know all of those things? Well, I have answers for you. But there's something I need you to do.

Evelynn: What do you want?

Alexa: I want the Library to stop messing with people's lives. I want you to separate this world from the Library.

Evelynn: I-I can't do that. The Library protects this world!

Alexa: They lied to you! The Library only wants to control everything that's happening!
