|| Recap ||
Eret glances at Rava, noticing she is still upset and her body slightly shaken. She put on her best poker face, which would suffice, but her body is trembling slightly. The amber-eyed man lays his hand over hers, not breaking his gaze from the other council members. Her gaze traveled down to his hand, then she gave it a soothing squeeze.
This foreign aura was strange, but it felt safe and warm. She felt slightly wanted. She shook her head, dismissing the thoughts. She wouldn't want to end up how she did all those moons ago. She didn't want to feel what she was feeling. She didn't want to fall for a person who could shatter her heart. She was confused about her feelings towards the young man. All she knew was that he wasn't going to stop supporting and being there for her, whatever that compacity may be.
So maybe, just maybe, I will open up a bit just this once.

After that long and eventful meeting, the head council retired to bed, all but the chief's pearly-locked adviser. Rava sulked all the way back to her hut and changed into more comfortable clothing. Tying her locs back into a high ponytail, she was ready to blow off some steam. After grabbing her double-sided scythe, she headed out the door and all the way to the dragon arena, which is now a dragon school for the little ones.
All that the Viking girl wanted was to take her mind off the day's misfortunes. An easy way to blow off steam is to work out and do chores around the island. Before starting, she cleaned the entire arena's equipment, swept the floor, and even cleaned the stone wall from top to bottom. After cleaning the arena, Rava thought of the bright idea of continuing to do chores and helping out the village for the entire night.
Her first course of action would be to visit Bucket and Mulche's fishing docks. The very first thing that the girl did was organize the nets, rods, and barrels. Every net was untangled, and every rod and hook was back in place. She even repositioned boats and properly tied them to their posts.
Well, now that work was done there, she strolled over to Gobber's armory. Now it's just a routine: organize, clean, declutter, then dip. After cleaning weapons and equipment, she organized each piece of weaponry by type and sharpness, even going the extra mile to polish each of them.
These were her stress relievers: being a productive worker and working out until her body gives out and plummets. And to her credit, she was excellent at both. She went to Gobber's blacksmith shop, the stables, the docks, and everywhere around Berk that could use cleaning or have something fixed, all on foot.
Hours passed, yet the night was still young. Though Berk's viking warrior was exhausted and worn out, today's meeting still echoed in the back of her skull, still tainting her thoughts. So, if cleaning and working couldn't fix the problem, then good old reliable will ... hardcore training.
Rava headed back to the arena and practiced training drills over and over again until damn near perfect. She went over several battle tactics, sparing methods, stretches, and whatever else that could make her regret ever working. Pushup after pushup, striking practice dummies until her knuckles bled, several minute planks, and much much more.
Now it's blind ax throwing. She had the habit of sparring or training blindfolded to enhance her senses. It was also a handy trick if one was blinded in the middle of combat. Not only was it a way to trust instinct and not rely on plain sight, as looks were often deceiving. After training forever, she was a mess.
Sweat dripping from her face and drenched in her clothing, her locks messy and dirty, she was utterly drained. So exhausted and sweaty, it felt like all the rage and hurt seeped out of her pores with every drop of sweat running down her face.
