FLOWER BOY - CH.1

CH. 1

I woke up, it's 9am. I feel like today is going to rain... even that I slept more than 12 hours, I feel like I'm still tired. Work in a flower shop isn't an easy job to be honest, always receiving a lot of orders around Jakarta. Being the owner and having only two employees is good for now, but I feel that I'm almost all the time working, cause in the next day I'm so tired to go to work again.
I get up of my bed and walk to the kitchen... my home is silent now, maybe Wirudan is still sleeping.
I live with my twin brother since our 18 year anniversary. One fun fact about us: Me, Wildan, was born on February 20th, but my brother, Wirudan, was born on February 19th, what make us have different signs for a few minutes, yeah, I know that's a random fact, but I always think that make us so different from each other, as we really are.
We almost don't see each other, cause I'm busy with my work and he is busy with his problems at night. So, when I got at home, he already left our house. I'll eat my breakfast alone as always, because I don't want to bother my older brother.

After my breakfast I took a shower and wear my work uniform. I'm wearing a blue shirt, black sweatpants and my black apron. Brush my teeth, fix my still wet hair and get my keys to go to work. I have to walk two minutes only, cause my flower shop is close to my home what makes everything better and easy for my life.

- Hi boss, wow you look so tired, you could not sleep again? – My employee Noah, ask me as soon as I arrive at the work.

- Hello Noah, yes, even that I slept for almost 12 hours, I feel like I didn't get any sleep, what makes me kinda upset. I hope we have a calm day today. Where is Jenny?

- Oh, she's doing some delivery in the neighborhood, she may be here in any minute.

Noah and Jenny are my only friends since the day I left my hometown and arrived to Jakarta to build a new life. They are the only people I have here after my brother. Actually, I met they after living here for almost 2 years, before that it was only me and Wirudan against the world in a huge city like Jakarta.
Noah is a tall skinny guy, with his red hair and green eyes. He is always smiling and being a true angel for us. Jenny is a short chubby girl, with brown hair and eyes, she's our little sister who helps make the impossible be possible, and that's save us all the time.

- Oioioi, boss, I'm here now, how are you feeling today?... WOW you look so tired for someone who slept for hours, huh? – Jenny arrived from her delivery and came in my direction smiling and making fun of my face.

- Hey Jen, I'm so tired now, I don't know how that is possible to be honest. I feel like I was running the whole night. I wish I could have a day off today. – At same time, my friends looked in my eyes and said at same time.

- YOU SHOULD GO THEN.

- What? Me having a day off? Today? No, I can't...

- It's okay, me and Jenny can do everything, it's raining outside, so probably we will not have many costumers today, it's okay, take more rest and come tomorrow feeling better and energetic. – Noah was saying that while doing his stuff.

I took a deep breath, and agreed with them, but I worked until the lunch time. I said bye to them and walk back to my house. As I walk at my door, I hear noises inside, it's loud music, Wirudan must be awake now.

- I'm home, Dan, are you there? – The loud noise of that song is disturbing my mind. Suddenly the song stopped, and I see Dan leaving the bathroom only wearing his towel in his waist. He got shocked to see me at home.

- Wildan... when did you arrived here? – His eyes looked surprised to see me after one week that we didn't saw each other, even that we live together.

- Oh, Dan, I got a day off today, because I was so tired. Did you have lunch already or not? Want eat something with me now? It's been a while.

- Hmm, I still did not eat, should we delivery pizza or something like that?

- Good idea – I took my phone and order two pizzas online.

While Wirudan was putting his clothes and fixing his hair, I was setting the table for our lunch. In thirty minutes, our food arrived and we started eating silently, cause the taste was so good to stop to talk to each other. That pizza reminded me when we were little kids and our mom surprised us with pizza after days eating the same food because we didn't have much money to buy different types of food. That made me smile and realize how grateful I was for that moment.

- Why are you smiling?

- I miss mom and our hometown. You don't miss them?

- I like the way we are now.

- You don't miss our mom? – Wirudan ignores me and start to watch something in his phone – Hey, I'm talking to you.

- Huh? What you want? – His eyes changed... again. Wirudan is a cold man who have eyes who can see deep into your soul, it's like he knows all your secrets and it's ready to explode and fight at any time.

- We should visit our mom, you have to come with me this time, I'm tired to see her twice a year and be the only son who visits her. She's always saying to me how much she misses you with us.

- Shut up, I don't care, I don't want come back to that house.

- What did you just say? Why not? Why you always ignore my questions about our hometown and our mom?

- Fuck you Wildan, if I ignore that it's because I don't want to talk about, SHIT, leave me alone or better, I'm leaving, thanks for the lunch lil bro. – Before I even could continue talk, he already left, leaving me angry at home.

I think the worst thing about living with my brother is the fact that when we see each other we will start fighting about our hometown. The way he is a cold-hearted man makes me upset and sad sometimes.
After I clean everything I lay down in my bed, close my eyes and sleep.
