Sugawara's POV
Anddddd I was gonna be late to my meeting with Kosuke-sensei. I promised I'd talk to him about my grades from high school, but here I am about to be late. I darted past a guy with jet-black hair, but didn't stop to apologize for bumping into him. I can do that later, I'm not about to risk the wrath of Kosuke-sensei.
"I'M HERE!" I burst into Room 203 for our meeting. "Ah... Sugawara. Glad you're here. So, I've looked over your report card from high school already, and... I'd like to recommend a tutor." I froze. A tutor? I thought. That can't be right. Last time I checked, my grades shouldn't be as bas as this. A tutor seems sort of unnecessary. "Wh-... Who...?" I almost didn't want to ask.
He stayed silent for a moment. "Do you know Daichi Sawamura from Karasuno High?" I let out a slight gasp. Sawamura was a volleyball player that had gotten his team to Nationals in his third year. I've never seen him, but he's supposed to be pretty good at defense. Never played volleyball myself, but the sport seems interesting enough. "Do you...?" he prompted. I realized I hadn't answered him yet. "Yes... I know him. By reputation, not personally though."
"Good. I've already ran the idea past him, and he agreed. He's available anytime, but you can schedule a couple meetings a week with him. He's been assigned to Floor Three, Room 05. Visit him after school. That's all for now, thank you. You're dismissed."
As I left the room, I thought, don't I get a say in this? I mean, I am the one getting tutored...
Sighing, I reluctantly went to classes.
-Time Skip to After School-
I knocked on Sawamura-san's door. "Hello? Anyone here...?" A boy a little shorter than me opens the door a tiny crack. "Who're you?" Hold on, I recognize him! I thought. He was on Shiratorizawa as a setter, playing against Sawamura in the finals...
"Hello, I'm Koushi Sugawara. I'm supposed to be meeting with... Daichi Sawamura?"
"He's not here at the moment. Go away."
"Wait-"
And with that I got kicked out. This was going stupendously well.
