Daichi's POV

It's been a week now. Things are normal-ish, I guess? Tutoring Sugawara has been going fine. Unlike some others I've helped, he just needed a different way to understand things, and his grades are slowly but surely getting better. 

Mom is fine at the hospital, and should be released soon. Kasumi-chan and the twins are doing fine at home. But...

My roommate. Sure, I'd like to be friends with him, he seems familiar. But from what I've seen so far, he's one of those types who don't trust anybody. Closed off from the rest of the world, not letting anyone in. I wonder what happened in his past for him to act so cold and distant all the time... 

How am I supposed to break through that wall? He disappears every night and I rarely see him throughout the day. Does he even sleep? I wonder to myself.  

BAM. 

The door slams open, and Shirabu stomps in. "Ah, hello, Shirabu-san. Bad day?"

"I... I guess so." he says, nodding. 

"Oh hey, by the way, my friend and his roommate (A/N: HAHA YES I'M REALLY DOING IT) are gonna meet up with me at the local coffee shop, wanna come?"

I could see himself internally fighting with his brain. Finally, after a seems-like-forever long moment, he managed to force out a single word; "Sure." 

I smiled a real smile this time. Sugawara's roommate was gay as fuck and looking for a possible boyfriend, and it would be nice to see Shirabu-san open up to someone.

Of course, this is also an excuse to get Shirabu-san to hang out with people other than Him, Himself, & He again. On a plus side, I'll get to see Sugawara again!

-Timeskip- 

"Daichi-san, are you ready?" 

"Yep- coming!"

I walk out and say, "Let's go!" and drag him outside by the arm. He doesn't pull away, and I smile softly. (A/N: Don't get me wrong, I'm planning to still do SemiShira & DaiSuga. You should know by now I love SemiShira angst σ(≧ε≦ｏ) lol. Daichi & Shirabu have a brotherly relationship! Or at least soon they will. Y'know, like overprotective big bro Daichi :D) 

Once we get there, I feel a slight tug. I look behind me and see Shirabu paler than ever, shaking, stopping in his tracks. "D-Daichi-san? Sorry, I-I have to g-go." and with that, he dashes away. Huh. Wonder what that was about, I thought. 

I wave at Sugawara and Semi. It still amazes me every time how they look so alike. I beg to differ, though, but Sugawara looks better in a simple tee and track pants. I feel like blushing at the thought of saying that aloud, though. 

"Who was that just now?" Sugawara asks curiously as I walk over to their table. 

"Oh, my roommate. I guess Shirabu-san isn't feeling up to it today, he ran away after taking one look at the shop."

"Wait- who?" Semi-san interrupted. 

"My roommate, Shirabu Kenjiro. Why? You know him?"

"I-... I'm going to go after him. Do you know which way he went, Daichi-san?"

"Back to Ayumi Haruna...?" 

"'Kay. Thanks, Daichi-san." and he, too, runs away. 

There was an awkward silence at the table. It was just Sugawara and I now. 

"I... Feel like that was somewhat important..."

"Should we be concerned...?" (A/N: HELL YEAH YOU SHOULD I-)
