3rd pov - this is going to be as sad as I can make it. I hope.

Everyone knows that Sam, Tucker and Danny are attached at the hips. Or, at least they were all through middle school and into high school, but come the last year, something happened - no one knows exactly what, though the rumors are running as always - and Sam and Tucker had slowly started to split from Danny, leaving him alone more and more often. Maddie and Jack work late nights down in their lab, and early mornings as well, since they got hired by some big company interested in their work and they suddenly had to mass produce everything. Jazz is off at college most of the time, getting her degrees.

All Danny had left was Sam and Tucker, and then they had to get into that stupid fight. His best friends wanted him to hang out with them more outside of school and ghost fighting, but he missed almost every hang out, and was never there on time. The other two had gotten tired and stopped helping him fight ghosts by the 2nd year of high school, since he could handle most of them on his own anyways. That was the start of everything, them quitting on him without any real warning, and everything after that was escalated, until those two stopped hanging out with him. He manages to graduate, but only just since the other two stopped taking notes for him, and since he is fighting so often, he's started to get tired with little to no sleep.

Everything is starting to wear down on Danny, but only one person can see it happening. It's the day after graduation and both Sam and Tucker have just arrived at the Fenton house, prepared to break things off completely with their best friend. They had not ever wanted this, but he was choosing ghosts and other people over them more than he tried to hang out with them, and despite their constant arguing, they had fallen for each other in their little dates since Danny never showed up to half of them anyways. They're leaving for college and want their best friend to have a clean start to himself - and they also really don't want him to contact them, they've already deleted his contact - so they've decided to do this in person.

Danny opens the door looking worse for wear - bags under his eyes, clothes hanging off him slightly, no light in his eyes, nothing is there anymore, no hope - and the two people on his porch ignore all the signs, even the sudden change in Danny's behavior during the last part of high school. They grab each others hands for comfort and face Danny head on as if he's the next boss.

"We just wanted to come say goodbye, since we got into the same college and probably won't be seeing you for several years, if ever again. We leave tomorrow."

"We also wanted you to know we are dating, so that you can have a nice fresh clean start wherever you choose to go, ok? We want you to be happy and... get some sleep, please?"

The two head off, unaware of the spiral and event of motions they've just set off. Inside a dark area, green eyes watch everything as they've always done, the sadness and hurt growing in them every day, but he does not think he can do anything. In a zone few have ever been to, a ghost of time scrambles as the future he had planned gets thrown an unexpected twist, one he had not foreseen, and desperately tries to find a path that does not end in this boy committing suicide or dying. It takes a while, but he eventually does and breathes a sigh of relief, but grabs a medallion as well, knowing what he must do in order to save this boy he's taken under his wing, and the ghost that has hidden himself until now, afraid of what would happen if he acts.

"Time, out."

Everything freezes, time stopped as it is, except for the ghost Clockwork and Phantom, who has a medallion around his neck. Green eyes widen in surprise, before he looks to the ground, mumbling a greeting. Wise eyes look over the young ghost - not so young, having been reincarnated and remembering everything from them, even if the human part can not - before he starts to speak.
