Clockwork is not surprised when one boy crosses into his lair, and even less so when the boy - technically numbering in two, but still one for now - lands right in front of him, still human despite everything in order to avoid ghosts on his way here.Phantom is doing well, better than the old ghost had  expected, managing to chose the best future and even more so getting his human to agree to things he otherwise would never have agreed to do. Maybe it is because they are two different people who's souls are intertwined, but who knows?

The boy lands, giving the old ghost a chance to glimpse into his eyes, which are not entirely dead, as they had been in so many futures, but are still not alive the way they used to be either. Phantom will have to be very careful, for he now balances on a precipice and there will be no going back if either of them falls. With a small grin, the ghost waits for the boys to speak, aware they must ask or he can not interfere as he very much so wishes to do.

"Clockwork," Clockwork blinks in surprise, because while it is definitely Danny in front of him, that is Phantom's voice speaking to him." do you have the thing I gave you centuries ago, in the case something like this ever happened?"

"You had better bet I do, boy. Do you believe this is the time where you can fix things? After you do this, if you so chose, there may be consequences that you can not change or alter. Phantom, almost all of them will be given to you, as you are the one more built to take it, however there are quite a few that could affect Danny himself. Are you still sure about this? Both of you?"

The boy takes a moment to himself, before an almost see through version of Phantom settles next to Danny, both opening their eyes.

"We're sure. Please, I just want him to live."

"I am sure as well. He wants to give me this chance, then he had better be prepared for when it fails. I already am."

Phantom gives his other half a look, but sighs when the other avoids his gaze.He turns beseeching eyes to Clockwork, who sighs himself, he's never been able to say no when the boy gives him that look.  He turns floating further into his lair, the two boys following him as he goes, neither bothered by the things they see. Objects far older than Danny, but only a few older than Phantom, who is one of the first few ghosts to have formed, not long after the Observants and Clockwork, along with some of the god based ones. He is an old spirit, but no one can figure out why he was created, simply that he was.

Clockwork finally stops in front of a vault, labeled 'things ghosts give me' and steps into it, calling the room into order with a flick of his tail and searching through the shelves.

"Are you sure this will work, Phantom?"

"Certain, Danny. It will be an entire contract based on how you see me, and that is fine. I will either be an equal or a servant, but at least I will be by your side. I promise you that."

Phantom touches his forehead to his mates, and they stay that way until Clockwork comes back out holding a paint brush and an empty container. Danny gives the container a look, but Phantom sighs and winces at the sight of it.

"Are you ready for this, Phantom?"

Danny turns to his other half, who apparently knows exactly what this is and what's happening, watching as the ghost seems to steel himself before nodding.

"Go ahead."

Clockwork nods and grabs the brush, placing the tip on Phantom's chest. For a moment nothing happens and Danny is plotting how to end things, when blue light starts to flow out of him, almost like a stream, flowing into the container and slowly filling it up. It's a slew of colors, all of the streams going everywhere, Phantom's heading dipping back as it happens, his back arced slightly as he starts to float. Danny curiously reaches out, touching one of the streams gently, watching as the colors swirl through his finger, leaving a warmth he had not ever felt before in both his hand and chest, as though something has just been shared with him.
