Phantom is the first to wake up the next day, and he already knows what today is going to be. They're going to further their bond, make it stronger and also test it. He wants to make sure the bond will survive for centuries, decades, millennia, as long as they will. The only reason they would fade is because people are forgetting them, which just means the entire world would have to be reborn in order to fix the unbalance created by the humans forgetting about their dead counterparts.

Phantom sighs and curls up in the warmth of the bed for a little longer, watching Danny as he sleeps. The boy he loves, wrapped in his arms and sleeping peacefully, a small smile on his face. The atmosphere in the room is enough to actually put Phantom back into a doze, though he wakes the second his lover grumbles and rolls over in his arms, trying to hide against his chest. He can't help the chuckle that escapes him, though from the way his cute human cuddles closer it does not appear to bother him at all.

Danny moans and gets closer to the body keeping him warm, wanting to stay here forever in this place where all he feels is content and sleepy.

"My love."

Danny swats at the nearest thing - Phantom's arm - and grumbles something like ' No.' but he can't be sure even with his super hearing. It's adorable and Phantom almost grins, but he also wants to get through with his plan, so he slides smoothly out of the bed, bringing his lover with him, and laughing at the yelp it draws when the cold air hits his tiny human. Danny for his part just curls up in the arms holding him and presses closer to the chest that is keeping him warm.

"I have plans for us today, and as much as I would love to lay in bed with you all day, I think you'll like my plans better. Promise."

Danny sighs, already aware he's not going to argue and that he most likely will, in fact, love it, even if his mate had not promised that he would. Which reminds him...

"Chiko?"

"Hmm?"

"What did you mean by your mate?"

"Ah, I was waiting for that. Every ghost is born with a mate, the person that completes them and counteracts them in every way, but that the ghost can not seem to leave alone. The ghosts obsession is not their mate, but rather the happiness of their mate, and even when that is accomplished, they will not fade, for that would make the mate sad and they would just be recreated.

"A mate is sacred and even more rare. Every ghost has one, but not every ghost can find their's before they fade or give up. A lot of the ghosts here have simply given up, but I'm hoping the fact I found mine will encourage them to try again. After all, my Queen, you will most definitely inspire a lot of my people. Our people. For now, we should get dressed and then head out before my duties as king call me away. I don't think they will, since everyone saw the light yesterday,  but just to be certain..."

Phantom sets Danny down, letting him wander over to his bag and grab clothes, while he sighs and pulls his suit back on, already wanting to retire even though he does not technically require sleep.

"Where are we going?"

Phantom spares a glance at his mate, before turning back to his clothes, hiding the grin and sly look in his eyes.

"You'll find out once we get there. I promise, you will love it. Just, I also want it to be a surprise, so would you be willing to wear a blindfold the entire way there? Please?"

"I guess. It had better be worth it, or I swear..."

Phantom laughs and Danny joins in not to soon after, since not even he knows what he'll do to the ghost as punishment if he doesn't like it. They finish dressing, and then Phantom pulls out the blindfold, gently tying it behind his mate's head, before grabbing his hand. They walk out of the castle like this, but not wanting to harm either of them on the way there, Phantom picks his mate up and takes off flying, basket in hand from where he'd made a quick stop at the kitchen before they left.
