Brittany's song Pull Up played loudly in Kadence's air pods as she headed to their designated rehearsal space inside their hotel to come up with a new routine for the song Brittany had added to her setlist just the night before.
They had been on tour for three weeks now and it seemed as if Brittany always had a new task for her, and while at first Kadence didn't take it to heart she was beginning to think Brittany was doing it on purpose. It was always I don't like this anymore, I want to change this move, I can't do this move, I'm tired of doing the same thing. However Kadence didn't mind this morning as she needed a distraction from her constant thoughts about her family.
As the west coast shows came to an end and they moved further and further away from her home she fought with herself about whether or not she should reach out to her family simply because the reality of living out her dreams without her family's support didn't sit well with her.
And if that wasn't enough Kadence couldn't help but miss Deja as well. The two had been joined at the hip since the sixth grade and now they were strangers to each other and even with the tragic way they're friendship ended Kadence couldn't help but wish that it hadn't.
At this point in her life she could count on one hand the amount of people she had left in her corner and if she was being honest she was terrified that she would only push them away just like she had done Deja and her family.
Walking into the large dance studio styled room Kadence was surprised to see Ricky already occupying the space working on his own set.
"Like what you see?" Ricky paused his music.
"Sorry I didn't know anyone was here already." Kadence said
"Well lucky for you I never mind an audience." Ricky flirted.
Kadence laughed, "You just can't help yourself."
"Hey I like making you laugh." Ricky shrugged, "What brings you down here so early though if you don't mind me asking."
"The amazing Brittany needed my services of course." Kadence chuckled, "But don't worry I can wait until you're done."
"Or since you're here already maybe I can get some help from an expert like yourself."
Kadence looked between Ricky and the door contemplating her next move. While she didn't have any personal issues with Ricky everyone on the tour knew he had a thing for her including Sabian who had made it clear he didn't trust Ricky so she was one hundred percent sure being around him alone was a huge no even if it was only advice he wanted.
"Just five minutes." Ricky said, "I promise."
Kadence sighed, "Okay. What's up?"
"I think my choreography for Touch Down needs a woman's touch." Ricky explained, "I got Chrissy to agree to be my leading lady on stage but I don't have the moves so~."
