Dear Abd/Amat,
How many times have you heard this; "how are you?" It's either you ask someone or someone asks you.
When you ask someone this question, do you always expect the answer to be "fine?" If so, then try to change that. You never know the immense pain that a person is in or what they might be going through and maybe you genuinely asking how they are will make them share their burdens with you, which is something that will help them. Most of the time the answer is not always fine, but due to habit  the person says fine. When a person says fine, try to dig a little deeper and ask the person how they really are, you never know how you might be helping them that way. Next time don't just ask this out of courtesy, ask because you are genuinely concerned.
Take care,
Nana-Khadijah.
