Blair woke up in her room. She had slept in the armchair beside her bed and the book she was reading was still in her lap. The room was dark, the curtains drawn and probably someone had turned off the light when they saw that she was asleep.
She looked at the clock on the wall. 9:30. Shit! I'm late! She thought, getting up from the armchair, throwing the book on the messy bed and exchanging her pyjamas (and also throwing them on the bed) for black jeans and a gray sweatshirt. Her black, long and straight hair with white strands at the front, contrasted with her pale face and dark eyes, making her look like a black and white image.
She ran towards Miles' room. He was asleep. His room wasn't a total mess like hers. All of his books were placed according to their sizes on his bookshelf, ranging from the biggest to the smallest. His bed was made, even if he was still on it and his clothes were folded inside the wardrobe. His desk was full of things, books, notebooks, pens and pencils, and it was still somehow organised.
"Miles! Miles, wake up! Wake up!" She was shaking her brother, but he wasn't waking up. "Miles, wake up right now or..." He put his pillow on his head and continued to sleep. "Miles!" She didn't continue what she had to say, she just took the empty mug that was in his nightstand, filled it in the bathroom sink and emptied it again, now, in Miles' face.
He made a choking sound, then stood up desperately, looked at her with a surprised look and said: "Blair..." He was interrupted by a knock on the door.
It was their mom, she had opened the door and was now standing in the doorway, looking at them seriously, but it was visible that she was trying not to laugh. Blair would, if she was at her position, looking at her daughter with an empty mug on her hand and her son with his face and hair wet with the water that was previously on the mug. "Blair! How many times do I have to say? Don't wake your brother with a jet of water in the face!" She said giving him a towel.
"He wouldn't wake up!" Said Blair.
"It's a freaking Saturday morning!" Shouted Miles while drying his black hair with the small light-blue towel. His light-brown eyes burning a look that screamed revenge.
"Okay! Do you want to pick Angela at the airport, or not?" Said their mom.
"Is it today? I thought it would be next week." Said Miles confused.
"What a good cousin you are Miles!" Blair said.
"Thanks, Blairlyn!"
"Shut up Miles! You know I hate this nickname."
"C'mon guys! We are going to be late. Miles, change your clothes! Fix this hair and let's go!" Said their mom leaving the room.
"There is nothing wrong with my hair!" Blair heard him say before getting out of his room and closing the door behind her. "See you in the car in 30 seconds!" She screamed.
They didn't take long to arrive at the airport. Blair was very excited to her cousin's arrival. She, Miles and Angela were best friends and Angela had gone to spend the vacations with her father in Canada. But now she was back, right before school started. Angela's mother, Sarah, was Blair's aunt, and they all lived together in a townhouse.
"Angela!" Blair screamed and ran towards her cousin.
"Hi guys!" Said Angela hugging Blair and then Miles. "Hi aunt Genevieve!" She said hugging her aunt.
Angela is a very beautiful girl, with her dark green eyes and long blond and curly hair with green streaks. She and Blair had dyed their hair together when they were 13 and neither of them had stopped, but while Angela was painting her hair with green and shiny streaks, Blair dyed her hair with white and colorless streaks.
