Same Night
•••Amelia•••Those words. He didn't just ask me that? He did.
My hands slowly creep down from my mouth as he speaks again. "I want this, Amelia. I don't think I've ever met a person, let alone a woman treat me in a way that you do. I'm not the artist or the musician in your eyes, I'm just Prince and from day one you have treated me like...like a normal person. We have our moments when we can be vocal with one another but I love it, I love you. I'll never stop." Prince confesses while I stare into his orbs trying to comprehend what is happening right now. "Before doing this, I had to tell you everything about me so you can know it all. Everything is out on the table. I don't think I can go through another heartbreak anymore at this age. All I want is you. For the rest of my life."
Every moment flash through my mind. When we first met, our first real conversation, when he showed up to my apartment begging me to be his personal photographer. My first trip to Paisley Park, going to Paris, our first kiss, the first time we made love, our inside jokes. Our first fight. When we broke up. The time when we were away from each other. Now we are back together. All I can think about is I would be out of my mind if I say 'No'.
All of our feelings, problems, and everything in between is on the table. Nothing is holding us back. I want to be that one to make him happy, give him the wife and kids he deserves. He makes me happy all around. Prince and I deserve the best after everything we've been through.
"Y-Yes." I breathe out over my tears. Prince's eyes widen while giving me a look as if I was sure. I nod my head smiling from ear to ear. "I'll marry you."
He didn't waste any time hurrying to take the gorgeous ring out of the box and taking my left hand bringing the ring through. It fits like a glove, I don't know how this man even knew my ring size. Prince tosses the box over his shoulder and pulls me into a tight embrace for anything, my arms wrap around his neck while I cry into his shoulder.
"Thank you," Prince whispers quietly in my ear.
I sniffle slightly letting out a small giggle. "Thank you." I move back to take a glance at the shining ring, my god it's huge. "Lord, P. I hope I haven't set you back with this one," I said in a joking manner.
Prince rubs his face against mines holding me close. "I've been holding onto this ring since I got back from seeing you that last time. A few days later, I called up a few people and go it done." He shares with me planting little kisses on my jaw. "Your sister was in on the plan."
I crank my neck back in shock as he laughs. "Arielle? Are you serious?!"
"She was the one that told me I better hurry up before it's too late. I had sent a few things over email to make sure that it would be the perfect ring for you. I was supposed to do it in December but I couldn't wait." He tells me as I'm still in shock that my baby sister was in on this lovely engagement surprise. She's definitely getting a big Christmas present this year.
I grab his face brightly him close to me. "I didn't know you two were even in contact. Sneaky ones." I giggle and he smiles innocently. "Well I love it, I love all of these..."I glance all around the area we are in and turn back to him. "Most importantly, I love you."
"And I love you." Prince presses his lips passionately onto mines sending me back on the pillows below us. He whispers quietly, "How did I get you in my life?"
I blush slightly, "I should be asking you that question." I peck his lips a few more times before taking his bottom lip gently tugging. Prince lays on top of me moaning into my mouth.
